Speedy deletion nomination of AHMED AL BAHRANI edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on AHMED AL BAHRANI, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 07:16, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Art sawa edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Art sawa, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://artsawa.com/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 07:53, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Art sawa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Copyright, notability, promotion edit

I have deleted Art sawa and also Artsawa and Art gallery Dubai which were copied from the same source. (You do not gain anything by spamming the same article under many different titles).

Wikipedia cannot hold copyright material, not even in sandboxes or AfC submission pages, not even temporarily. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste.

Even if the copyright issue were resolved, material copied from elsewhere is likely to be written in a promotional tone unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is not to be used for any knd of advertising or promotion: it is not a "notice-board" site like Myspace or Facebook where people write about themselves and their clients. If you are connected with Art Sawa or with Ahmed al Bahrani, please read the guideline on WP:Conflict of interest.

Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article. JohnCD (talk) 10:36, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Advice edit

I have added here some links to the Arabic Wikipedia. You may find useful advice there.

Wikipedia is selective about subjects for articles. Not every artist can have an article. The way we choose is called Wikipedia:Notability (Arabic ar:ويكيبيديا:ملحوظية), and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought them significant enough to write substantial comment about? See also WP:Notability (people), particularly the section WP:ARTIST (Arabic ar:ويكيبيديا:معايير_السير_الشخصية).

You must not copy material from other sites into Wikipedia. First, it is a copyright violation (Arabic ar:ويكيبيديا:حقوق_التأليف_والنشر); and second, material written for other purposes, like gallery websites and artists'own sites, is usually much too promotional in tone. Wikipedia is not to be used for promoting anything or anyone, and requires a neutral point of view (Arabic ar:ويكيبيديا:وجهة_النظر_المحايدة). You must write in your own words, and when you write you must be careful not to try to "sell" the artist, or the article will be deleted.

There is good advice on how to write acceptable articles at WP:Your first article (Arabic ar:ويكيبيديا:مقالتك_الأولى).

You say you have a "task" to write about these artists. If you are connected with them, or with the galley, or are writing about them as part of your job, you have a WP:Conflict of interest (Arabic ar:ويكيبيديا:تعارض_المصالح:) and should follow the advice there.

Declaring conflict of interest edit

Based on your previous declaration that you have a task to place certain articles, could you please declare the nature of your potential conflict of interest on the Talk:Art Sawa page? AllyD (talk) 09:24, 16 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

June 2013 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Art Sawa. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Art Sawa edit

The article Art Sawa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable art gallery

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
