Welcome to Wikipedia, Rafaël Calado! Thank you for your contributions. Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Austronesier (talk) 16:58, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Austronesier Thank you! Being an active user of Wikipedia is really new to me but I hope I'll be able to contribute well, if I need some help I might contact you then ;-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafaël Calado (talkcontribs) 17:18, 2 July 2020 (UTC) Rafaël Calado (talk) 17:40, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

This template {{ping|''Username''}} (e.g. {{ping|Austronesier}}) will create a notification, and don't forget to sign with ~~~~... You have made a very good start based on one of the foundations of this encyclopedia: verifiability (WP:V). That's refreshing, and quite the opposite from the "hey-I-know-something-that-I-read-somewhere-(or maybe not)-and-want-to-add-it-right-now"-approach by many novice editors ;) –Austronesier (talk) 17:32, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Austronesier Wow! Thanks a lot, I see that you wrote some books about linguistics right? To have such a compliment is an honor for me, tbh I'm not really an academic and I think I still lack knowledge but I try to do things the right way ;-) Rafaël Calado (talk) 17:40, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

No LOL, I haven't written a book yet, and the little stuff I have published wouldn't even fill a booklet. Being an academic or "expert" is not really necessary at all for doing good editing here in WP. Presenting notable information from reliable sources in a readable style, paired with a collegial spirit in a collective project, that's all that counts. –Austronesier (talk) 18:05, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Austronesier Oh sorry my apologies, I didn't look clearly lol, yes I know that Wikipedia is not just for academics but they're a symbol of quality and I assimilated you to that suddenly...
