Non Partisan in Houston

Hello, It has been the consensus that we mention that elections are officially non partisan then put the candidates unofficial political party for reference. Houstonbuildings (talk) 06:19, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Just a quick question

I saw that you reversed a recent edit made to the Texas State University System when a user tried removing the phrase "(Formerly Southwest Texas State University)." Obviously, you believe that it is a notable fact to add Texas State's former name. When has enough time elapsed to remove the former name from the System's page? I mean, on the TSUS website, it doesn't say "(Formerly Southwest Texas State University)" where it lists the member institutions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.26.208.127 (talk) 22:56, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

April 2010 GAN backlog elimination drive

WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of April. The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 200. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. Hope we can see you in April.

Is vs. are with respect to sports teams

Hello... with respect to your changes, please note that the convention on Wikipedia appears to reflect the use of the plural form when referring to sports teams. I did read up on the matter before making the changes, but it is important to note that articles on American sports teams appear to default to the plural form. (I also noticed that the change to the singular appears to be in a lot of Houston-area teams that you yourself have changed.) Instead of repeatedly reverting, please instead bring the matter up for discussion at the Sports wikiproject to see if there is in fact consensus for the change you are seeking. Thank you in advance. --Ckatzchatspy 05:12, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
