December 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Liverpool F.C., but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Not until 1 January. Thanks edit

Thanks Matt, I have now added a source for the addition. Good to learn about adding references and source for the information. Have a great New Year.

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:34, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Huntingdon Town edit

Hello and thanks for your message. As owner of the club, you have a clear WP:Conflict of interest and should not make any more edits to the article. If you have any suggested improvements to the article, you are welcome to make them on the article talk page (although you also need to make a declaration of your conflict of interest, as advised in the link above).

Regarding specific aspects of your edits:

  • You need to provide a source for the capacity of the ground per WP:Verifiable
  • There is no need to state the step of UCL Divison One in the honours
  • Its not clear why the honours are being italicised; I have hundreds of non-league clubs on my watchlist and never seen this before
  • Similarly, it's not clear why you are removing the link to the player category, which denies readers the opportunity to see articles on former players for the club
  • It is a very bad idea to have personnel lists for clubs at this level as they are rarely updated (I have seen squad lists more than ten years out of date)

I have been a valuable user of Wikipedia and look to keep it up to date when I can when their is information I have. The above message means I will not longer be doing this. You have lost a contributor to your sight. RDM2009 (talk) 16:46, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
