Invitation to WikiProject Basic Income edit

Hi, I see you have a userbox on your page displaying your support for universal basic income. I was wondering if you wanted to join or help Wikipedia:WikiProject Basic Income? The project is currently inactive so it could really use some participation by new members to kick-start it again.

I have also opened a move request on its talk page here - Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Basic Income#Requested move 22 October 2020 - to request that it be re-named to Wikipedia:WikiProject Universal Basic Income. If you could please spare a minute to leave a respond to this request on the talk page there it would also be much appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you. Helper201 (talk) 15:34, 27 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

John Hagee edit

Hello R9tgokunks,

concerning the John Hagee edit: I wasn't implying anything. I linked the article to what Hagee is referring to regarding Hitler's ancestry, namely the Frankenberger hypothesis, which is generally rejected by historians. You can read this in the article about Alois Hitler. I'm sorry if that created misunderstandings. Regards, Mungo68b (talk) 18:51, 10 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Checkk edit

A tag has been placed on Checkk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deletion on page edit

Forgive me for the late response, but I have only recently recovered from Covid. I am clearly an amateur when it comes to editing Wikipedia but I deny your claim that the changes I made to the Ghost Hunters page were a violation of a conflict of interest. The changes I made can be supported by documentation. I also feel you nominated Nicholas Caprio‘s page for deletion in a punitive retaliation for what you incorrectly assumed was a violation of a COI. Forgive my abruptness but I am upset to come back to find this. What can I do to have his page restored? As I said I can provide published documentation to the changes I suggested which I feel is what got this whole ball rolling. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DoctorMegan (talkcontribs) 14:16, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

An introduction... edit

Hi there, my name is Megan, and I wanted to reach out to you since our paths have crossed "electronically" and explain a couple of things. I checked out your page, and I think we have a lot of things in common. I am also on the spectrum, so I'm not really great with social cues, or communication, for that matter. In terms of Ghost Hunters, I am really nothing more than a mega-fan. Because of this, I know that Jason takes exceptions to the two seasons that Grant did the reboot on A&E, which is why he is so particular about the episode numbers - that's all I was trying to reference. It's also why the press releases for the reboot specifically stayed away from calling them concurrent seasons. In terms of Nicholas Caprio; you can see that I did not create the page. I simply follow Mr. Caprio on social media; he's blown up quite a bit on TikTok. He is also on the spectrum (he calls it his own personal rung). I reached out to him once when I was having a hard time, and he was very kind to me, so I update his page from time to time. Now, I feel like my actions, or the interpretation of my actions, has now cost him his Wikipedia page, and I am heartbroken. The whole idea of the world of Wikipedia is incredibly daunting to me, and I was wondering if you would be willing to mentor me. Also, I am creating a draft to reinstate Mr. Caprio's page, and I was wondering if you could help me build it in such a way that it would pass review and stay. Maybe more of how popular he's become on TikTok? Anyway, I just wanted to reach out. Thank you. Megan. --DoctorMegan (talk) 19:32, 19 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
