Speedy deletion nomination of Nirvana (Manga) edit

A tag has been placed on Nirvana (Manga) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. MfD nomination of User talk:R3xmAs/Editnotice edit

User talk:R3xmAs/Editnotice, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User talk:R3xmAs/Editnotice and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User talk:R3xmAs/Editnotice during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. —Farix (t | c) 20:42, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia's purpose edit

Hi. The administrator's noticeboard conversation alerted me to your situation here. It seems based on your activities that you may not be quite aware of Wikipedia's mission. Wikipedia exists to create a tertiary source, an encyclopedic reference guide compiling what previously published sources have said about notable topics. We are not a website provider where people can host content unrelated to that goal.

As a general rule of thumb, topics are notable if they have been written about by multiple independent sources--that is, newspapers, magazines, books, and industry websites that are not connected with the subject. Press releases and personal websites are connected. But even when topics are notable, we strongly discourage individuals from creating articles about them if they are connected to that topic. In this case, given your facebook page, it seems that you are the creator of this in-production manga. Even when it does meet our notability guidelines, we would prefer that you leave the article writing to somebody else. See our conflict of interest guideline. At that point, however, you can request the article at "requested articles". Requesting it before it meets those notability guidelines won't help.

You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia if you would like to help build the project's coverage of other notable subjects. I'm afraid if you keep using Wikipedia to write about your manga, however, it may be necessary to suspend access to this account, as this appears to be self-promotion. While Wikipedia is open to contributions by anyone, the community does require all contributors to put the interests of the project first when editing here.

If you have any questions about this, please let me know. If you return within the next few days, I should see any note you leave here. Otherwise, you're welcome to come by my talk page, which you can reach by following the "talk" after my username. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:41, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
