GVRD Maps

Hey, I really enjoy your GVRD maps. I noticed that you did post the White Rock map, and you may have noticed I reverted it back. I think the maps are great, but are all the maps ready to put up? Can't we change all the GVRD maps at once? I just believe that uniformity is important. What do you think?! Adenosine | Talk 07:26, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

I changed all maps in Greater_Vancouver_Regional_District#Municipalities 2-3 weeks ago. White Rock might have been among the first replaced. Qyd^(talk)13:43, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar. With the number of U.S. National Parks that are featured articles, it's only appropriate that Banff National Park (and others) be brought up to featured status. I'm slowly filling in details, will be adding material about the internment camps in Banff during WWI and WWII, more about the geology, more about human impact, etc. I also have GIS files to make a map of the park (like Shoshone National Forest, but more details and shaded relief). If the tag is not included, it is only visible to those who happen to look at the template itself or have the time to pay attention to TFD. copyvio notice on John Glenn (Alberta)

The John Glenn (Alberta) article is started new on the temp page, with all copyvio removed. Can you please remove the copyvio tag so the editor can start working fresh on the article? Thanks. - Qyd^(talk)03:40, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

The only way I could remove the copyvio tag is to delete the history (which I strongly believe is a copyright violation). I shouldn't do this myself but allow one of the closing admins that monitors copyvios do this, which should happen in about a week. The reason is to get a second opinion before anything is deleted. As for editing the article in the mean time, the temp page is there for exactly that purpose. -- JamesTeterenko 13:53, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Qyd, I have totally rewritten the article, it is in my own words and supplied my own pictures, so there shouldn't be a problem with the page now. You did put a note on there to wikify (wow you guys are fast) but I looked up what wikify constitutes and I don't see what I need to add? Great Work

Excellent work on condensing the Winnipeg article. I have been so intent on filling the article with content as well as trying to fill the holes throughout that I haven't had a chance to really compile it all into something more readable. Hope you have a chance to do the same to the Manitoba article at some point. I will be trying to fill it with content soon as it is woefully in need of further details in relation to other provinces.
