Faculdade de Desporto da Universidade do Porto

edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Faculdade de Desporto da Universidade do Porto, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 23:36, 9 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Based on your edits and username, you have some affiliation with the University of Porto that you have not disclosed

Hello Qwertyuiop71944. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Qwertyuiop71944. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Qwertyuiop71944|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Jytdog (talk) 18:52, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your reply. Would you please disclose any affiliation you do have with the University of Porto? Nearly all of your edits are on that topic or citing papers from there. Please reply here to keep the discussion in one place. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 13:07, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
I studied there. Best — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qwertyuiop71944 (talkcontribs) 15:58, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for replying. Please thread your posts with indents and sign them. I fixed your post above.
It appears that many of your edits are promoting papers written by Pooya Soltani or promoting places where that person studied. Please be aware that it is not OK to use your editing privileges to promote specific people or their papers or any institution. This is a violation of the WP:PROMO policy and the COI guideline. We love experts - they are often aware of the best reviews in their field and can quickly identify where articles have holes or have too much emphasis on something. But when experts come here to promote themselves or their institutions this is a bad thing. Please consider contributing more broadly, aimed at Wikipedia's mission of providing the public with articles that present "accepted knowledge", sourced to the best sources in the given field that are available. Speedy deletion nomination of آداب میز

edit

Hello Qwertyuiop71944,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged آداب میز for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Table manners.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Your contributed article, دانشگاه استافوردشر

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, دانشگاه استافوردشر. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Staffordshire University. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Staffordshire University. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.  GILO   A&E  17:02, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
