Welcome edit

Hello, Queeran, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hi Queeran, I think if you leave a note on the talk page suggesting a particular change, and after a few days no one has replied, it is fair to go ahead and make that change. Of course, if editors then arrive and reject the change, then you must be prepared to resume discussions on the talkpage. Often you will find that editors who will initially not join you on the talkpage will quickly arrive there after you make take the change. Let me know if there's any other way I can elaborate or otherwise help. Babajobu 21:07, 4 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! edit

Hi Queeran, thanks for your congratz! I'm all busy with writing thank you notes, but hope soon to check up on how stuff is going with you. I saw some of your talkpage comments and they looked very good. Alas, that's not always enough. One lives for another day, and tries again elsewhere. Thanks again! Leave me alone edit

That was vandalism and you need to leave me alone you clueless newbie. You have no authority over me. Swollib 08:54, 10 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry to hear it edit

Queeran, sorry to hear you're in need of a break. I apologize for not being more of a help. Things have been a little hectic for me, and I'm behind on several of my wikichores, one of which was to go over to Islamist terrorism, get up to speed, and help out however I could. So my apologies for not doing that. When the battles here get frustrating a short break often does help. I do hope you come back soon. Regards, Babajobu 02:45, 17 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Again, sorry to hear it edit

Hi Queeran...I know this place can be frustrating at times, but it really is a great resource. Despite all the chaos that goes on in controversial areas, Wikipedia slowly but surely has developed some very informative articles in those areas. It takes time and patience, though, and one needs to have other, less high-tension areas in which to work so that one doesn't always blow one's gasket. Hope you're well. Hi! edit

Welcome back! One thing you can do, if you are accused of being someone's sockpuppet, is demand a checkuser. This is almost certain to provide concrete evidence that you are not that person. As for admins...plenty of them show poor judgement, no doubt about it. Today I've been working on Muhammad Drawings...there has been a massive revert war over whether to include the cartoons that have offended Muslims so gravely. The consensus is now very clear, and being enforced: the pictures stay in the article, at the top. So you see, content disuptes can go any which way, Wikipedia isn't rigged in any particular direction. Sometimes your position will win out, sometimes it won't. But overall, I really do think this place is worth the frustrations. I hope you stick around. Babajobu 02:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

3RR warning edit

Hi - You have reverted Palestinian exodus four times in the last 24 hours. That is a violation of policy that states that a single editor cannot revert an article, in whole or in part, more than three times in a 24-hour period. Since you are relatively new here, I will not block your account, but keep this policy in mind for the future. Also, you are being extremely rude and offensive in your edit summaries, particularly given the fact that you are reverting to versions of the article that are clearly not neutral, laden with original research, and have racist overtones of the type you are accusing others of having. Please review the civility policy, because you are heading towards being blocked if you do not change your tone. You should discuss your edits in the article's discussion section if you see something objectionable. Ramallite (talk) 14:41, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your name and your edits edit

Your User name is borderline violation of our policies on User names, and your User page and edits are verging on racist. I would suggest you find a new name and a new raiseon d'etre for being here. User:Zoe|(talk) 16:34, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Don't make threats to me. You have been warned, and I see you have been blocked again. Find a new username, this one won't last. User:Zoe|(talk) 02:48, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

This user has been blocked for a variety of vandal actions (including personal attacks and abusive sockpuppetry; sockpuppet actions included pagemove vandalism). The user has a history of requesting unblocks via the {{unblock}} template; unblocking should not be granted to this user. Essjay TalkContact 01:55, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

[This is following an edit conflict in response to Queeran's unblock request]: A cursory review of your edits (User:Queeran) demonstrates that you have violated WP:CIV, WP:NOR, WP:NPA and WP:3RR. Your familiarity with WP, as well as with #WP on freenode, indicates that you quite likely are a sockpuppet of another user. Please review WP:SOCK again. If this activity continues, further digging will probably demonstrate conclusively that you are, in fact, a sockpuppet, and just exactly whose, which, unless I miss my guess, will result in a resetting of that user's one-year block. That said, while I agree with Zoe that your username verges on inappropriate, as does that of your cohort, I also agree with you that some of the information you added to Palestinian exodus does have a place. That said, the language used was dripping with POV, and the edit summaries were completely inappropriate. If you are who I suspect you are, you already know this to be the case. As I said to you on IRC, however, when I directed your attention to WP:DICK, no matter how correct you are, if you can't interact civilly with fellow editors, you'll continue to find that people are unwilling to listen to accord legitimacy to anything you have to say. That's what consensus is all about. All of that said I'm not going to unblock you... You know quite well that your 3RR and NPA violations make the block completely justified. I would recommend to other admins, that since Phroziac says s/he's talking to you (and everyone else has given up on doing so for the moment), the decision of whether or not unblock you should rest wholly with hir via discussion and consensus with User:NSLE. You've got some policies to review. I recommend you take this little forced vacation time to read them over again. Cheers, Tomertalk 01:59, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
