Re: Name Editing edit

In the top right of your screen, go to "My Preferences" and find the text box next to "Signature". In that, you can type whatever you want using Wikimarkup and/or HTML. (For example, I have <span style="color:#3300ff;">Thingg</span>⊕⊗ entered for my signature.) Also, there is a limit on how many characters are allowed for your sig, but I'm not sure exactly how many. After you write what you want for your signature, check the checkbox labeled "Raw signature" and click on "Save" at the bottom of the page. Hope that answers your question. Regards. Vandalizing edit

Are you a bot? It was not vandalizing. Check my edits. About 10000, and this is the first page blank. Those categories are for articles, not users. The userpage is copied & pasted from an article which had an obvious advertising feeling to it. -- Frap (talk) 15:06, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you edit

...for reverting the vandalism on my talkpage. Much appreciated. I'm Josh, nice to meet you. ~Beano~ (talk) (contribs) 06:56, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

 • Hah, that's my name too. Yeah, I've just been bored and decided to do some reverts. I warned him for it too; if he does it again ARV his ass. QuadriusContribs 06:57, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's two I owe you, and he just did it again. This guy just won't give up :-). ~Beano~ (talk) (contribs) 07:04, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I just ARV'd him, hopefully he'll get a block soon. QuadriusContribs 07:05, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. It's hard to deal with vandalism on your own article. Reverting, warning, and ARV'ing is hard because it changes the perspective to conflict of interest. I have your back; thanks for having mine. ~Beano~ (talk) (contribs) 07:08, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's not really COI if it's obvious vandalism or attacking. Anyway, I've got my eye on him. He just popped your page again, another user got it. We watch each other's back around here. QuadriusContribs 07:09, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Awesome. Thanks again. About the COI, I guess you're right. The COI generally point towards other things, but it can still make even small warnings or AIV's seem retaliatory. The world these days.... oh well. We'll definitely keep in touch. Nice to meet you, Josh. ~Beano~ (talk) (contribs) 07:17, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
