Bill sorry it has taken me a little while to get back to you. I am not opposed to a limited list of the notable manufacturers of cycling shoes, ie those like Shimano, Crank Bros etc who have made significant contributions to the technology. However I don't think a long list of all, or nearly all, manufacturers, even just a blue link list, is appropriate for the article. WP:LIST has guidance on embedded lists here and to my mind at least, an indiscriminate list would not be encyclopedic. There is List of bicycle part manufacturing companies which could and should be expanded to include shoe manufacturers if they are not already listed. – ukexpat (talk) 16:05, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
