Abid Rao moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Abid Rao, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 03:06, 24 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

An extended welcome edit

Hi Proudpakistani11. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.

I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Ronz (talk) 16:52, 24 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mark Wiens edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mark Wiens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. bonadea contributions talk 05:24, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

May 2019 edit

Hello Proudpakistani11. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Proudpakistani11. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Proudpakistani11|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. bonadea contributions talk 05:24, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Bonadea: Are there any edits (or editing on a particular article(s)) that lead you to believe the editor has a WP:COI? I noticed the editor got reverted at Lil Need, but the original edit contained a source that I believe is reliable. I've seen much worse than that--on that same article. This editor has continued to edit on Lil Keed since your admonishment here. --David Tornheim (talk) 21:33, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reliable source. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:21, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Wide Neck edit

The article Wide Neck has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability per WP:GNG or WP:BIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 02:14, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have fixed up the article, explained my reasoning in the talk page, and will remove the delete template in the next 24 hours if there is no objections. Proudpakistani11 (talk) 05:16, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Bloodshells Revenge edit

Would you happen to be the IP who reverted my redirect for this article? The problem is that it has literally no sources that comply with WP:RS, and I can't find any better ones. Unless the article can be improved with in-depth reliable and independent sources, I still see a redirect as the only option. Richard3120 (talk) 21:35, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Bloodshells Revenge.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:29, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Capitalisation of titles edit

Per MOS:CT, Wikipedia has its own rules governing capitalisation. Artists and websites/online stores frequently capitalise all words in titles; we do not follow this most of the time, particularly when it comes to prepositions and conjunctions. Please read the linked guideline. Thanks. Ss112 19:25, 30 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Proudpakistani11: You are a great editor Proudparkistani11, I love the pages you've made in the hip hop space. I'd like to help you create more pages and share hip hop knowledge with even more people. Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @NavV96 or email njvethanayagam@gmail.com or Telegram @NavinVethanayagam

@NavinVethanayagam: Hi Navin, sorry for responding so late. I didn't check the message on my talk page, anyways, thanks you for the compliment. So you would like to help create more pages in hip hop, sure, I am definitely down for it. Can we message to each other on here? I am considering creating more rapper pages, I recently created a page for King Von but I am considering an article for Lil Duke as well. Let me know, thanks! --Proudpakistani11 (talk) 06:09, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Proudpakistani11: Hi Proudpakistani11, no worries. I wanted to talk off-site since I noticed that your Wide Neck page was removed and wanted to talk you about creating wiki pages on another knowledge project where pages like the one for Wide Neck are encouraged rather than deleted. It's quite different from Wikipedia, Genius, Quora, and other more traditional knowledge spaces in governance.

Uploading alternate covers edit

Hi. In regards to the deluxe edition album cover you uploaded for So Much Fun, unless the cover is substantially different, it generally does not meet our criteria for inclusion (WP:NFCC#3, WP:NFCC#8). A version of the main cover just in a different colour is something that can easily be described and we don't need a whole different cover for. Thank you. Ss112 01:33, 28 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Contribute to Draft:Scott Disick edit

Hello, I have received permission to draft an article, Draft:Scott Disick, and had the draft page unprotected by an admin. I saw that you had commented on the talk page of the article Scott Disick, and thought you may be interested in contributing to the draft. Mukedits (talk) 22:38, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I am astonished why the submission to the article of Scott Disick had been declined. He has 173 sources, and out of them, some may be random unreliable websites. But the fact that Cosmopolitian, TMZ, People, Huffington Post, The Guardian. 173 sources! Thats way more than enough? I think the article is fine as needed and doesn't need more contribution, why was the article draft denied? Is the Kardashian family intentionally not wanting Scott Disick to have his own article? --Proudpakistani11 (talk) 05:56, 13 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't think that they do not want him to have an article. I think the article was first created before he was notable and now has a hard time overcoming that. I am on a mission to get it approved because he clearly meets the notability guidelines. I've been trying to reach out to people Mukedits (talk) 19:31, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Additionally, I think it may help our case if you contribute to the draft, even if it is just a citation or two, to show that more editors than just me believe this article should be created. Mukedits (talk) 19:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
