Unspecified source for Image:Narcoleptic Minute 006 0001.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Narcoleptic Minute 006 0001.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -SCEhardT 00:21, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Plymouth, New Hampshire Map Image

Thanks for the Thanks :) I've moved the dot up two pixels - should I move it up even further? Let me know - or is there a map online you're judging by? Thanks again! -- SatyrTN 18:06, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks again! I tried going to the link you gave me, but even though the same link for Campton worked, the link for Plymouth wouldn't. Who knows. Anyway, I've nudged the dot two pixels up and one to the right. Let me know what you think? -- SatyrTN 01:53, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Hhigh1.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hhigh1.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 16:39, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Image source problem with Image:Narcoleptic Minute 006 0001.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Narcoleptic Minute 006 0001.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:40, 22 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 16:40, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Missing image Image:Diet Coke Mentos.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Diet Coke Mentos.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Diet Coke Mentos.jpg is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Diet Coke Mentos.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Your comments

Hi, I just wanted to ask about the edits you made to the infobox on the Tudor dynasty article... in your edits you make it seem as though the House of Tudor was a cadet branch of the Houses of Lancaster and York... but for it to be a cadet branch, it would have to descend from the legitimate male line only, and Henry Tudor's descent from the Lancastrian line of the Plantagenet family is through both a female (Margaret Beaufort) and an illegitimate (John Beaufort, 1st Earl of Somerset). And since Elizabeth of York was a female, the House of Tudor can't be a cadet branch of the House of York either. If you look at other European dynasties, such as the House of Romanov, once the legitimate male line became extinct it became the House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov, and it is not considered to be a cadet branch of the Romanov family, but rather the House of Oldenburg. For these same reasons, the House of Tudor is not a Parent House of the House of Stuart, nor is the House of Stuart the Parent Family of the House of Hanover, or Hanover the parent family of the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. I just wanted to check with you before making any changes, because edit wars are so unnecessary, and you could have some knowledge of this subject that I'm unaware of to prove why you made the edit. Thanks! - Prezboy1 23:44, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

You know, the Tudors themselves and everybody else who agreed with the succession, considered them as joint heirs of the two houses, to reunite the heirs of Edward III, just as the Stuart family united Scotland and England into Great Britain. This is traditional history. There is no reason for you to stir up any doubt over the meaning. Lord Loxley 23:54, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Holderness NH Town Seal.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Holderness NH Town Seal.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:29, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
