Speedy deletion of "Hugaung Plain" edit

Hugaung Plain, a page you created, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a real person\, group of people\, band\, club\, company\, organization\, or web content\, but does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content that complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Proposed deletion of Hugaung Plain edit

The article Hugaung Plain has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The correct name of Tin Tut edit

I'd like to correct the name of Tin Tut. The actual spelling is Tin Htut in Myanmar. How can I correct the name? Polymath7.mm (talk) 14:53, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

If your account is (auto-)confirmed, click the "More" tab then click move. If your account isn't (auto-)confirmed, request a move at the talk page of the article by placing {{subst:requested move}} and following the instructions. --TL22 (talk) 14:59, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

July 2, 2015 edit

Please be more careful editing Wikipedia (see [1]) and try to ensure that the descriptions you leave on the dates of birth and death match the individual's description in the article itself. Yours, Quis separabit? 19:32, 2 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for July 5 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited U Ottama, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arakanese. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Categories edit

Hi Polymath7.mm. You may not be aware of Wikipedia's categorisation process, but it means that we already have a full list of all articles about Burmese writers at Category:Burmese writers. At the bottom of every article is a list of the categories that article belongs to; you can add pages to Category:Burmese writers by clicking on the small ++ icon at the end of the Categories bar in an article and selecting "Burmese writers" in the box that appears. Once you save the page, this will add the article to that category. There's no need to create new articles listing Burmese writers. Yunshui  13:30, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • I disagree. There are plenty of cases of parallel category and "list of" article. Among the advantages of the latter are the ability to list in order of surname (which list of Burmese writers currently is not) and add annotation. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:03, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I should have been clearer. My last sentence was meant to point out that there is no need for the creation of multiple articles on the subject (Burmese writers, Burmese Writers, List of Burmese writers). I realise now that it looks as though I'm suggesting that the existence of the category contraindicates the existence of a list article, which wasn't my intention at all. You can, of course, use Category:Burmese writers as the basis for List of Burmese writers, which should make your task easier. Yunshui  14:12, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
