Speedy deletion nomination of East Rembo edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on East Rembo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.makati.gov.ph/barangay/east-rembo/12?page=175. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. After being unblocked, you immediately commit another copyright violation. -- Whpq (talk) 13:48, 27 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dang... how tf did this happen..... Will I ever be able to edit in Wikipedia again? Or should I just stop making new articles??? Dang.... Request reason:

I won't ask to be unblocked for this block. But can you please not make it Indefinitely??? I don't want to stop editing on wikipedia. In order to not make any mistakes again, I'll just stop making new articles, or maybe when I am experienced enough. I don't want to stop editing on Wikipedia. I just read in WP:BEFOREBLOCKING that I shouldn't be blocked immediately, because I am working with Good Faith. I originally worked on East Rembo as a contribution to WP, and my reasons are not worthy of Bad Faith. PlorekyHave a chat?(contribs) 03:34, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi and Good Morning everyone! I was told to make a new fresh request in 6 months, but I can't just endure it Hahahaha. I have contemplated on what I did, and I already have known fully my Mistake. I also recognize what I have done, and what I will do, I shall promise on my whole Wikipedia Account that I will not make any new articles without a review of a reviewer. I have made many mistakes, but, the copyrights were my most dangerous ones, and I acknowledge it fully. Mr/Ms Administrators, I request an unblock, for I am already itching to make new contributions to wikipedia. For the past month, I have already been websearching to so many articles in wikipedia, and I've recognized that there are so many grammar errors in many various articles in Wikipedia, may it be famous or not. And, that's why, as a member of the Copy Editors, I cannot tolerate it for it is my mission to correct it, for Wikipedia's sake, and for our people's sake. I do think you mean well, but all the same ... what part of "six months" do you not understand? Your attempt to laugh that off in the first part of your request does not inspire confidence, needless to say a willingness to re-evaluate the above position. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:33, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I added 'Hahaha' to the sentence not to laugh at the advise of an admin, but to lighten the tone of the sentence. I fully know my mistakes, I really know. The fact that I already knew my mistake seconds later after I uploaded my edit proves it. I know my mistake, but the problem is, I abused it. I had taken copyright lightly when I made that mistake, even though I knew the dangers it poses for Wikipedia. And I regret it. I regret the mistake I have done. The days that I have not been able to edit and contribute on Wikipedia were like torture to me, Why? Its because Wikipedia became a hobby to me. To be able to communicate with other Contributors and to help contribute reliable facts and information to the public is just a treasure to me. I regret the mistakes that I have done, and these past few weeks have been torture to me. I have been finding other hobbies, but their are just no other like Wikipedia. To be able to contribute professionaly, and to be able to correct information has just got into me so much that it became addicting, and having it robbed to you is just excruciating. These I say not to force my feelings upon you, but for all of the administrators to understand my point. I have fully understood the severity of my mistake. If I will be given a chance again to edit, I, Ploreky, pledge on my Account, to not ever commit such unlawful acts like Copyright, If ever I make the same mistake, "I shall quit Wikipedia forever for the its sake"

Decline reason:

If you truly do want to contribute again, and understand why you were blocked, then do this. Do not edit Wikipedia for six months starting now. Come August 1st (at the earliest!) create a new unblock request with what steps you will take to prevent the actions that caused you to be blocked, what edits you want to make, and how you will stay within our guidelines, and your request will be taken much more seriously. If you request prior to then, you will very likely have your request denied, and repeatedly requesting could result in the loss of your talk page access. Request reason:

Hi! Good Day! I've come again after a long 6 month break from Wikipedia, and I am now wondering and requesting my Dear Admnisitrators if I can edit and help Wikipedia once more. I have contemplated deeply on the mistakes I have been banned for, and now, or rather in the whole 6 month rest, I deeply regret what I have done. I have realized that what I did was both bad and deeply serious for both sides, not only I was endangering Wikipedia because of Me, but I was also infringing/stealing the Hard Work of others, which I have realized to be a Great Great Grave mistake. I have realized that all of the things I have done, and for all of the lawbreaking mistakes I have did, I was not endangering myself, but, I was endangering the whole Wikipedia Community, for the for the expense of my foolish mistakes. I am thankful for the 6 month rest you (My Dear Admnistrators) have Given me, and I humbly think that this long slumber should end here. My Dear Administrators, I greatly regret and I am very sorry for all foolish, taken for granted, mistakes I did, at the expense of Wikipedia. And I pledge and guarantee, that if given a chance again, never shall I do things that I don't know, without the views and advise of Wikipedia experts, most especially Administrators, in order to never again, Harm, Dirty, or Destroy, any of the Wikipedia Comminity's ownership, name, or legacy, and I will always strive for Wikipedia's goodness, and will strive more to serve the people who benefit from it. No evidence of block evasion, so that's good. However, I am concerned that you haven't really attempted to convince us you understand WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE. So... In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 17:24, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

  • What is copyright? - Copyright is a right, or rather, an exclusive lawful claim of an owner in order to protect his own works. Any action which is done in against anyone's or anything's copyright rights is a Grave Action, and is lawbreaking. A Copyright infringement against the people who worked for the things that some ought to steal, can result to devastating consequences, I don't even know where to Start. To Simplify, for me, Copyright is like owning a land or a house, and copyright infringement is like stealing that land or house without the permission of the Owner.
  • How is Wikipedia licenced? As I have researched, Wikipedia is co-licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike and by the GNU Free Documentation License. On my own understanding, Wikipedia Contents are free to use in every occasion, except for some few, and everyone can use Wikipedia content for free.
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia? One of Wikipedia's goals are producing Copyright-free products or texts that are totally free to use by the public for their own Good. That is why, copyrighted content is not allowed, in order to ensure that the Common Good can get the Copyright-free content that Wikipedia is serving the people for
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content? If I am really going to explain it on my own words and understanding, We can use copyrighted content if, and ONLY IF: 1. It is from a Public Domain, 2. If permission is granted by the Owner/Copyright holder.
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future? I shall stop doing things that I know is not Good, I shall also not do anything that I am unsure of, I will also consult, or not make any rash decisions that I know not of, and most importantly, I will never ever repeat the same mistakes that I have done, and Will always comply and remind myself to the Copyright Guidelines and explanation that I have stated above. Hi! Good Day! No offense, but I really am confused. I know that I have already done the requirements for my unblockage, yet am I still not eligible? It seems like I am unacepted and unwelcome in the Wikipedia Community. Please, do reconsider and review my past 2 request, I am really confused about how and what else do I need to do. As 331dot stated, your response to question 1 was not correct. I agree with this assessment; please take some time to read WP:COI and answer that question again. Also, your response to question 4 was not specific enough. Instead of saying "I shall stop doing things that I know is not Good" I would like to see what specific actions your will take to avoid publishing copyright violations on Wikipedia.
