A belated welcome! edit

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Plainsense. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

About PlainSense edit

Many thanks for the warm welcome and the cookies!

PlainSense is the Wiki account for Christine Burns MBE, Managing Director of Plain Sense Ltd, a UK-based consultancy specialising in Equality and Diversity advice for management. See the declaration on the User Page concerning awareness of conflict of interest rules.

Any edits made via this account will always be in good faith and, since I am learning, I would ask that you assume anything I do wrong to be an unintended mistake.

Please let me know about anything you think I've done wrong.

Please be aware of WP:NOSHARE: any user account should represent an individual and not a group, and an individual should normally only have one user account.
Please can you conform that this account will be used only by one individual? Thanks! --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:35, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, sorry about that. I have amended the description above and will do likewise on the user page Plainsense (talk) 15:43, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is changed now and, for the avoidance of doubt, this is a single person. Plainsense (talk) 15:50, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

That's great. Thanks for clarifying ... and sorry that there are so many rules to follow. Unfortunately as Wikipedia has grown over the years, the rulebook has expanded to cope with all the various problems which can arise, and despite efforts to avoid instruction creep the result is a rather steep hill for new editors to climb. Sorry if my note above appeared a bit blunt, and thanks for clearing things up so quickly.
Good luck with your editing! --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 15:51, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. It is a bit scary, I must admit. However, I do appreciate the spirit behind the rules, which help maintain the authority and integrity of WikiPedia as a resource.

Why don't you add the info yourself ? Either to the education section, or anywhere you think the more general info might fit - as long as it fits the WP rules, you're more than welcome. Don't wait for others, DIY ! 86.12.129.2 (talk) 10:10, 3 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
