November 2009 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Edwin Muñiz. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. --4wajzkd02 (talk) 14:18, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Edwin Muñiz edit

Hello, Thanks for your email but I prefer others to contact me on my talk page where any debate can be kept in the public forum. Firstly, I reverted your edits at Edwin Muñiz as they were unexplained removal of information and appeared to me to be vandalism. When you make an edit, particularly when you are removing info and text, you should use an edit summary to explain it. Secondly as you are closely related to the subject of the article, you should make yourself aware conflict of interst guidelines, which suggest that at the very least when editing in this sort of situation you should exercise great caution. However I am mindful that the topic is very personally close to you and if this article is factually incorrect or misrepresenting facts then you may remove the content as you are allowed to do so per WP:BLPEDIT. I would however encourage you to use edit summaries and the discussion page of the article so that there is no confusion. If you feel the article is problematic then you may bring it up at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard or contact an admin. If I can be of anymore assistance, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Take care GainLine 10:05, 13 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Physioed1, I would listen to what Gainline is saying if I were you. Gainline stated and provided sources that the Clayton State never issued PhD's. St. Luke School of Medicine was ordered closed. I would take into consideration the sources that he/she provided and verifiy the information that you have for the good of the article, before making any further changes. This is the situation. I contacted John Shiffert at Clayton and asked "I have a simple question. Was it possible for a student in 1989 to earn a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Physiology from Clayton?". His answer "No". Now, he may have obtained his second PhD. degree from another univeristy and there may be a typo mistake on the book cited as a source, therefore it must clearified. Tony the Marine:

Please provide me with a fax and/or address so that I may forward information that you may verify the inaccurate information presented which presents my dad in a negative and derogatory manner. My dad. I am not a editor or whatever is called on this forum nor do I intend to become one. i just wish that the information here provided is accurate. My dad couldn't care less what is said about him in this forum but we, his children and grandchildren do care.Hope all is well in the home front.

Corrected Clayton State University to Clayton University which is the correct information. Ed Junior

That sounds like good news. As an aside, I have read about Ed (Sr.) and find him to be a remarkable individual and very inspirational. Although I have no personal WP:COI, I do have a POV, so have avoided editing the article. I'm hopeful these issues can be resolved quickly. You have my best regards, --4wajzkd02 (talk) 04:03, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for your kind words. Currently working on the misinformation pertaining to St. Luke School of Medicine. Once a legitimate medical school which was destroyed and closed by the Liberian government due to attempt of extortion, political matters and struggles. Will be providing proof and support materials on the matter. Best regards.

  • To User:G-gollin, I have removed your addition to the article in which you name two persons who were accused of committing felonies because is not revelant to the subject and article "per se" and insinuates wrong doing on behave of the subject. Edwin Muñiz, Sr. is very respected and to attempt to associate him with felons is wrong. You must assume good faith that there may be some misinformation which can be fixed. Said additions would be proper in an article about St. Luke's School of Medicine. Tony the Marine (talk) 05:07, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

To Tony the Marine: I saw the comments regarding felons and a blatant attempt to associate my father with these individuals. It tore at my soul but I decided not to do anything about it. Fortunately, a kind soul as yourself saw the injustice perpetuated here and acted on it. You Sir are a very Honorable and fair person. May God Bless and protect you. Ed Jr.

  • Thank you, Ed Jr., it is my intention to protect the article and subjects integrity. It seems as if the next step to take is to provide more reliable sources, at least newspaper or magazine articles to back up the notability claim since it will come up as a result of the St. Luke's mess. These should be provided as soon as possible because there are forces beyond my control who may nominate the article for deletion on the base that it lacks sources. Speedy deletion nomination of Edwin Muñiz edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Edwin Muñiz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TallMagic (talk) 05:55, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
