October 2020 edit

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to The Patriot (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:21, 7 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

You are very close to being reported. It appears you have not heard anything myself and others have been telling you about your editing. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:21, 7 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
I had approval from other editors. PhilCoulson20 (talk) 18:58, 7 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
To be fair, this editor tried to take the sandbox route, see Special:PermanentLink/982356273. However, PhilCoulson20, I think that you really only took part of the feedback you were getting to heart. Yes, you can do what you did to create an article, but it must always meet notability requirements. The existing redirect, is really only there for navigational assistance, as the episode list has the most basic information someone might be looking for. In order to create the article you are trying to do, there are a few ways to do so:
  1. You may continue your sandbox work and replace the standing redirect when complete (via WP:RM/TR as before, or take the sandbox and jump to #3).
  2. You may copy your content into the draft space and submit through WP:AFC for an impartial reviewer to assess its notability before moving to main space.
  3. You may attempt to edit the redirect directly again.
In every example above, though, the article you want to publish must show that it meets the general notability guidelines at WP:GNG or at (WP:NTV if more focused criteria might help). Even if it is just a stub, the stub has to be notable to be built upon in main space. Every route above is also going to eventually get reviewed by a new page reviewer at some point in the queue, but in my experience, #3 above gets patrollers attention the fastest, and they'll typically restore redirects faster than review entirely new page histories. You can do a combination of 1 and 3 and then over-right the redirect when you are sure that all references are included to show notability, but other reviewers can also nominate pages for deletion if you don't help them by showing why it is notable; it may not be clear. A couple tips: WP:NOTINHERITED will describe that just because the series is notable, that does not mean every episode is notable. WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS will describe that just because there are other articles for episodes of the series, that does not mean that every episode should have an article. Those don't mean that this episode can't have an article, just that this episode has to be evaluated on its own merit, and people have to be publishing content specifically about that episode. What Favre1fan93 was saying is that the current status of your additions isn't making it clear that this episode alone is notable. Hope that helps you out. -2pou (talk) 19:37, 7 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: User talk:PhilCoulson20 edit

Hello PhilCoulson20. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User talk:PhilCoulson20, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: User talk pages may not be deleted at the user's request. Thank you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 18:51, 8 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Block notice edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for creation of User:BlackWidowMovie0000Editor to avoid scrutiny contrary to WP:SOCK and to continue the same disruption that was raised in this discussion. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:42, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ponyo: The user is now editing as BlackWidowMovie0 -- ferret (talk) 23:42, 17 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Also an unapproved bot account at BlackWidowMovie0-BOT -- ferret (talk) 23:47, 17 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ferret: See my talk page, as Ponyo has allowed it, due to the fact that I lost access to this account. As for the bot account, It is unapproved, and as marked as such. All of it's edits have been done by me when logged in, as I'm still setting up the code. BlackWidowMovie0 (talk · contribs · moves · rights) 23:56, 17 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Alrighty then. Sorry for the unnecessary ping, Ponyo. -- ferret (talk) 00:00, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
@BlackWidowMovie0: Since you no longer have access to this account, consider asking an admin to indef-block it as a "doppleganger" account, with a note in the block log that your current account is your actual one. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 01:11, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Ponyo and Davidwr: Can someone indef block this or lock it? BlackWidowMovie0 (talk · contribs · moves · rights) 01:15, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
"Not I" said the non-admin. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 01:18, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Doppleganger accounts are accounts created by the same user that have similar names (generally to avoid impersonation). That's not the case here. There's no requirement that this account be blocked, but I can do so if you are concerned it could be compromised, BlackWidowMovie0.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:35, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Ponyo: That's what I'm worried about, as the account is inaccessible, and hasn't been locked, so I do want the account blocked immediately, to prevent disruption. BlackWidowMovie0 (talk · contribs · moves · rights) 17:59, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
