JYOT Page deletion edit

Hi Steve, My article at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/JYOT was recently speedy deleted.

The article is about a religious organization which is active in India.

The title of the article "JYOT" is the name of the organization.

I have some reference material from local newspapers and censor board certificates as well for the proofs.

I can share them with you.

Can you please suggest the changes I should make for it to pass the criteria??

JYOT Page deletion 2 edit

Hi Steve, Can you please have a look at this?

Vshah786 (talk) 05:16, 19 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Vshah786, the page was deleted as there was no credible indication that it meets the notability criteria for inclusion, and that it appeared promotional in tone. The references provided were not independent and/or reliable as Wikipedia understands those terms - the first one was from the organisation's own Facebook page, the second was a YouTube video and the third was from the website created by the organisation itself.
You mention " reference material from local newspapers and censor board certificates as well for the proofs" - censor board certificates prove that films exist, but a film existing does not make it notable enough for Wikipedia. Local newspapers can be useful as sources, but only if the content is not press releases (or similar materials created by the organisation itself) or interviews with the organisation's staff.
Think about why you think there should be a Wikipedia page - Wikipedia isn't to "legitimise" an organisation, nor to promote it, nor to "show it is real".
Please look at the Notability guidelines for organisations and companies, and explain to me which criteria JYOT meets?
