Hi. Two points about your article:

• Did you mean to have a picture of a dog? That makes it look like a joke or hoax article
• If it's not a joke: one of the list of things that Wikipedia is not is Wikipedia is not a soapbox for propaganda or campaigning. In order to prevent Wikipedia being used as an election notice-board, the notability guidelines specifically provide (see WP:POLITICIAN) that being a candidate for office does not confer notability.

No, the dog was a mistake.

Second, I am not Sam Long, Jr.--I merely am interested in politics. His campaign has no access to that, and since you can't search for him online I felt that people in Northampton County would be interested in knowing a little bit about him when they search.

I've read about being a candidate, but he is well-known enough in his home county that I believe notability is conferred on his previous merits alone.

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Sam Long, Jr..
