My Drafts edit

The Eraserheads - Draft 1

Eraserheads edit

Thank you very much for what you did to the Eraserheads article! I've always wanted to put references on it, but I still have lots to learn about the Wiki format. And that article about the break-up, awesome! I'm a relatively "new" Eraserheads and Ely Buendia fan so I find it difficult to gather materials to piece together their history. That article was the missing link! It shows precisely what was the exact cause of the break-up, at least from Ely and Diane's side. Wow. Thanks a lot. Whoever you are, you opened my eyes. And please, if you have anything else to add, please do. And if you have Buddy Zabala's picture, please upload it, too. Thanks again!

Re Super Twins edit

I don't have any idea since I was almost always out of Wikiland, but the deletion log offers a clue, plus the name of the admin who deleted the article. I suggest you contact this admin for more information. --- Tito Pao 17:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! edit

I notice your edits to Eraserheads and like Moonwalkerwiz, thank you for your contributions on that article. But more importantly, I would like to inform you of a place for Filipino Wikipedians, if you don't already know, at WP:PINOY or WP:TAMBAY (with talk pages at WT:TAMBAY). Happy editing. I think you haven't signed your name in the Tambayan Roster. ;) Berserkerz Crit 20:07, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tikman Ang Langit entry edit

I'm newbie in Wikipedia. Anyway, I saw you added an entry on the book which we launched last February. There's a blog that I created. It can be found at tikmananglangit.wordpress.com. You might find more interesting information there. Tikman Ang Langit

Hello, Perryv. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 03:04, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Perryv, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Ultraelectromagnetic.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Perryv/eheads draft 01. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 05:29, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Buddy_zabala_eraserheads.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Buddy_zabala_eraserheads.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? bluemask (talk) 04:25, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175 edit

Dear Perryv,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

2019 US Banknote Contest edit

  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
