June 2012 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to The Oprah Winfrey Show, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. SuperMarioMan 21:23, 2 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Senator2029 (talk) 23:49, 2 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

August 2012 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Gabby Douglas, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.  -- WikHead (talk) 05:56, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Gabby Douglas, you may be blocked from editing.  -- WikHead (talk) 05:58, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Tina Turner edit

Your recent editing history at Tina Turner shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Instead of edit-warring to promote your version of the lede over the consensus version, removing sourced content, and replacing it with unsourced content, kindly join the discussion on the talk page at Talk:Tina Turner#Tina Turner recieved Swiss citizenship. Your recent edit to Tina Turner has been rejected three times by three different users (most recently me). I'll take this opportunity to remind you of the three-revert rule, which has been pointed out to you numerous times -- repeating your edit would violate that rule. I'd suggest you make a genuine effort to discuss this matter on the talk page and understand the consensus that has been reached about the wording of the lede. You would have a higher likelihood of success at shaping a new consensus if you assume good faith instead of accusing your fellow editors of racism because they disagree with you. quant18 (talk) 06:52, 8 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:31, 8 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
