Its and it's edit

  In English:

  • Its = the possessive of "it"
  • It's = it is

Yo attempted a "grammatical correction" to the article on Budgam district, and got this the wrong way round. It has been reverted.-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:11, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Peacepks (talk) 08:46, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have documentary evidence in favour of my explanation and monument s are still alive edit

You has removed the verified information can I ask why Abhijeet bhargava (talk) 06:37, 22 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Because it was not Verified by Reliable Sources. Wikipedia don't allow Original Research and also there was no reference to support your claim. Add reference from reliable source and only then you can keep these information. See WP:OR and WP:RS . Thank you Peacepks (talk) 06:45, 22 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Khandayat edit

Chasa caste not claims to be khandayat, they are real khandayat. Community of khandayat and chasa is same in odissa. Mrrg between them are not intercaste it is same caste mrrg. Jogendra nath bhattacharya called chasa as chasa khandayat in his book hindu caste and sect. Pls consider my word. Sagardon4 (talk) 16:36, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I think we had never involved in any dispute so I don't know what are you talking about! In case you are looking for suggestions, then your claims come under WP:OR and not allowed in Wikipedia. The book which you mentioned is not a reliable source either. Read the policies on Raj Era authors. Your edit history shows that you're doing copy paste of these lines in other editor's talk page as well despite getting similar responses like mine. Avoid these type of Work. Khandayat (caste) edit

Hi, I am afraid you may have made a complete mess of Khandayat (caste), using poor sources & citing them badly, ignoring neutrality & making ludicrous claims (eg they are not a militia group now). Can we start over, taking it back to the last good version? - Sitush (talk) 10:25, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the Message. I have tried to improve the page as there was too little information on that Wiki page. Actually I'm considering to cite those sources properly as according to best format as you mentioned in your ID. Regarding the authority of the sources, I personally think all the sources I have added are reliable sources but I have to check it again. Taking it to the start will lost many information which is very useful to give a clear picture of Khandayat Caste. Not a Single caste in India is doing their traditional duty in 21st Century because of cultural, Social and Economic change but I think other caste pages are also edited according to traditional duty. But Khandayats do worship and show their swords in Dussehra even today and I have Reliable sources about it from both books and main news portals. Hope we can improve the Article to more accurate according WP guidelines. Personally, I have learned a lot about different WP rules from your articles and you're doing a great work. Peacepks (talk) 11:44, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

The effect of what you have done is to glorify them. Most of them are and probably were nobodies. - Sitush (talk) 12:14, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I don't think So. I have added information from every point of View. There are reliable sources which mention Khandayats own highest number of Zamindaris in Odisha but there are also common Khandayat Agriculturalists. I have added the Agriculturalist word for common Khandayat People. I have no intention to glorify any caste article as you can see I have added the Agriculturalist word. Khandayats along with Brahmins and Karanas are powerful castes of Odisha. I don't think there is any exaggeration from my side. From Scholarly point of view, Khandayats are associated with warriorhood in Odisha. I'm only improving the Wiki page and diversifying the information with proper references. Notice of discretionary sanctions on caste articles edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose discretionary sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

April 2023 edit

Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Khandayat (caste), you may be blocked from editing. Please participate in the ongoing discussion in the article talk page for constructive suggestions and do understand that multiple experienced editors have expressed concerns regarding the poor quality sources. You are aware of the discretionary sanctions applicable on such articles! Any violation including edit war will be reported and may lead to ban, block, etc. Ekdalian (talk) 18:21, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi I'm open to every discussion but as editors we should respect Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia policy don't allow anyone to remove reliable sources. And each & every sentence of my edit are backed with multiple reliable sources. I have added reply in your talk page as well. We both are editors so we should maintain civility during discussion. Thanks Peacepks (talk) 18:27, 9 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Khandayat (caste). As clearly mentioned in my edit summaries, such selective quotation, that too without any context, and trying to revert the article to it's highly flawed earlier version during an ongoing discussion is a clear indication of caste glorification!
