Hi @CNMall41! Thank you for tips and comments on my article. I went to the Teahouse to look for answers, but I think I made a mistake when I started the article, so I take it back to you for more help. I hope that's ok.
This is an article that I translated from the German wikipedia page https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingeborg_Gr%C3%BCnwald But, I realize when I looked at the page on translation that I probably started in the wrong end. If I want to translate an article from another language, do I first have to request a translation from that language before I start translating it? So should I restart the process by first asking for a translation? Or is it better to add more outside references to the article I already created? Thank you so much for your support, and the work you do, much appreciated. Paristolken (talk) 21:10, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Paristolken. For translations, I am not sure what the hardline rule is. However, I would say you can translate some or all of the page as long as what you post here meets guidelines. By that I mean you are essentially creating a new page and if you are using content from another language Wikipedia page then it is still considered new here so you must include references that show how someone is notable. With that in mind, different language Wikipedias have different rules and guidelines so something that may be notable on one language may not necessarily be notable on another. Simply having a Wikipedia page in another language does not mean that it would suitable for all language Wikipedias. --CNMall41 (talk) 04:35, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello again @CNMall41! Thank you so much for clarifying. I'll continue to work on the entry to hopefully get it published. Paristolken (talk) 14:16, 8 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Greenman! Thank you for pointing out the flaws in my first draft. I have now reworked the article and double checked the sources and notability both according to bios of living people and to bios of academics, and of course. I have also removed the external links in a correct way I hope. Will submit it now for a new review and see what the next reviewer thinks! Thank you for your time and work, it's much appreciated.
