Number of Players and Alternate titles, columns in Lists of articles

Hi Paper Luigi, I noticed that you are the one who brought the "Number of Players" setion to the N64 list, and the subjest of that and other columns has been brought up again, so far to keep # of players is 4 to keep (including you, and me) and 43 to delete, if you know of others that would like to see the 'number of' column stay, I'd hope you'd invite them to contribute to the Talk:List of Nintendo 64 games#Removal of Alternate Titles and Number of Players where we are discussing this and other columns in the "List of...games" some have suggested that they take up too much space and that other columns could seem to be "useful only to fans", and other things that have been mentioned on that, and other 'List of' talk pages. I know you've already told why youy feel they are useful and needed on the list and I for one agree, but if the concensus is for them to be removed they may also eventually be removed from other "List of" pages. Sorry I didn't try contacting you a few days ago when the discussion began, for the most poart is was about Alternate Titles, and most people seemed to be in favor of the Number of column, but not by much. I hope all goes well, and you know of others that will help in the efforts to keep this column going. (Floppydog66 (talk) 00:14, 23 December 2008 (UTC))

WP:TOON rollcall

Hello Paper Luigi, it's been a while huh? You might remember adding your interest to work as part of the Cartoon Network Wikiproject here, since you did this there has been very little activity with few to none of the members participating or have been idle for some time and as such may be mothballing the Wikiproject as inactive. I'm going over the list for WP:TOON and need to know if you wish to still be a member. I know you mightn't have edited in some time (at least through this account) but I'll wait until 5th January 2010 to see whether or not you still wish to be a part of this or not. If you don't respond to this notice specifically by mentioning it at WT:TOON (not my talkpage or here, I won't be watchlisting talkpages) or removing your name from the list I'll assume you are no longer interested and will remove your name. Hope you decide to work here again. treelo radda 18:16, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Another gentle ping from WP:VG

File:I Am Weasel - Season 1 Thai DVD.jpg

OK. So, show me what is wrong with the image and I'll fix it. 187.10.146.175 (talk) 23:13, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

According to WP:NFCC, "Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding. Purely decorative images are not appropriate." All unnecessary DVD cover art for Cartoon Network shows must be removed under this policy rule. Paper Luigi TalkContributions 00:26, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
OK. So I'll leave the image be eliminated, it is not much needed in the article. And sorry to call you a vandal.187.10.146.175 (talk) 05:38, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

I Am Weasel again

Hi Paper Luigi, I need your help for something. An anounymous user has started a discussion about I Am Weasel in the article's discussion page. He say that he found a video about a promo from the old Cartoon Cartoon Fridays block in which is announced that an I Am Weasel new episode will be aired on November 26, 1999, but according to the article, the series ended on September 16, 1999. I said him what I think, but because I am from the portuguese language Wikipedia I don't know much about the policy from here, which is different from the Portuguese Wikipedia's policy in various aspects. So, I am calling you, who know much more than me about the policy from here, to leave your opinion in the page. Thank you. 187.10.146.175 (talk) 21:00, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for informing me. I'll see to it that we get this straightened out. Paper Luigi TalkContributions 21:14, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

What counts as a "significant" image in an article?

To Mister Paper Luigi,

I noticed you have removed the image I so painlessly uploaded. Why did you do that? Because that put me in a very inconvenienced position. But that's nether here nor there, after all. Though what I find humorous is that you took the time and effort to delete my little JPEG, but not the sentence "Danny Antonucci has stated that he wanted the show to appeal to any generation.". Or at least "Cartoon Network has also produced shorts, some involving the Eds during commercial breaks. For a short while, Cartoon Network made a series of roughly 2-minute shorts called Ed, Edd y Eduardo in which Eduardo from Foster's appeared in an Ed, Edd n Eddy episode.". Those two sentences are uncredible; especially the last one! So why not terminate those while you're at it? But enough calling you a cop-out. Back to my real question: What counts as a "significant" image in an article? Because if the screenshot of the pilot isn't important, than I must not know what is. Because when I initially saw that an almost insignificant image of a cameo-- I repeat A CAMEO (about as irrelevant as you can get!)-- could spruce up the article and stop readers from snoring at their monitor, I figured, "Hey! Why not add something that might actually illustrates what the show actually looks like". Yes, that is one of the points to my argument for having at least that image. It fits with the Overview, it has historical significance (in being the first episode), and it gives an idea of the show's style (without just pointlessly showing the show). There you have it Mr. Paper Luigi, that my way of displaying my frustration with you having totally removed the image I've uploaded. Because if that image shouldn't be used for "lack of significance," than how will of an image of...oh let's say, Danny Antonucci. Because I remember there being an image of him being in the Ed, Edd n Eddy article; and if that image falls under your insignificant category, than I can only hope you have one hell of an explanation for it.

Postscript: I know I'm being a bit of a sarcastic Bill O'reilly, but I live in America and that's one of the cheapest ways to convince someone that's they're not right. Which is basically what I've been trying to convey to you in this whole...electronic letter to the editor.

Best wishes anyway, --Morahman7vn (talk) 05:17, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Morahman7vn. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to explain what your problem is instead of starting an edit war like some would. First off, the reason I removed your image is that it wasn't completely necessary to the article. When adding images, the basic rule-of-thumb is to only add what can't be summed up in words. For example, the image in the infobox illustrates the logo and the 3 main characters (a "significant" part of the article). The title card for the pilot doesn't fall under this same "significant" category because 1) every episode's title card uses the same style, 2) the article doesn't mention the pilot at all, and 3) the pilot was made like every other season 1 episode (unlike Dexter's Lab or PPG, where the pilots were made for What-a-Cartoon). Regarding the uncredible sentences you brought up, yes, I will admit the article's not perfect. Fans have added to and rearranged the article for years, and with it came a lot of unsourced garbage. I do vaguely remember some "Ed, Edd y Eduardo" bumpers some years ago, but that kind of information doesn't belong on WP. The Foster's cameo isn't very notable either, and I'm 99.99% sure no reliable source ever mentioned it. Crossovers, cameos, etc. are all things that can be covered on a fan site/wiki due to lack of sources. I can understand your frustration with this whole ordeal; I've gotten my images removed plenty of times. I just don't see this image staying here very long. Paper Luigi TC 22:59, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Returning the discussion about unsourced airdates on WP:CARTOON NETWORK

Hi Paper Luigi. I am returning with that discussion about the unsourced airdates of I Am Weasel and the other five cartoons of that CCF promo on WP:CARTOON NETWORK talk page. I am calling you to participate again of the discussion. Thank you. Inox talk 17:54, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know! Sorry it took me a while to reply. Paper Luigi TC 17:48, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Which part to cite?

Been struggled with these two sources ("Random Thoughts from Frederator Cartoonists"/has Fred Seibert, Niki Yang and Pendleton Ward (and others), and Frederator Fanboy and Chum Chum blog's Niki Yang interview), but still cannot decide which part to cite and which part not to. So,can you help me? I think these will partly improve articles like Fred Seibert, Random! Cartoons, Fanboy and Chum Chum and Adventure Time, as well as Niki Yang and Pendleton Ward.

And try [ this Art of the Title article] too. This will partly improve Adventure Time article. JSH-alive talkcontmail 06:32, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Why not just cite the entire source instead of just part of it? Or are you talking about quoting the source? Paper Luigi TC 17:48, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
If "quoting" does mean "repeating exact words", that's not what I mean. In fact, for example, when I tried to cite the AWN article, it had many facts gathered. I've managed to cite How long have you been in animation? What's your background in the industry? and How did you hook up with Fred Seibert/Frederator? parts, and implemented to the articles Pendleton Ward and Niki Yang. But still struggling with the rest of the interview. I know that Can you explain the plots of your shorts? part should not be in the articles about individual artists (should be in the Random! Cartoons article though), but for the How many people worked on your feature? and What do you have coming up next?, I'm not sure what to do. (Sorry for my bad English.)
