UC Irvine Library edit

Hi Pandashu, welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed from your post at the Teahouse that you're interested in expanding articles using UCI Library resources. I assume that means you have access to the UCIL's China Academic Journals and China Studies Online resources? In which case, a spot of begging on my part may be in order... I'm currently trying to expand our coverage of historical personages in the Late Ming Dynasty (everybody needs a hobby, right?) and would be extremely interested in any sources you could locate regarding the following: Xue Susu, Hu Zhengyan, Li Rihua, Hu Yinglin, Shen Defu, the Eight Great Courtesans of the Ming (haven't written that one yet), He Zhen, Wen Peng and... well, that'll do for starters...

If you've access to any information on the above through UCIL, I'd be hugely grateful; you can add things yourself or if you'd prefer, email me a PDF or similar digital file (if you visit my userpage you'll see an "Email this user" option in the Toolbox menu on the left) and I'll take it from there. In exchange (whether you're able to help me out or not!) you're very welcome to ask for my help with any aspect of Wikipedia that you might find confusing or problematic in your early days here. All the best, Yunshui  12:48, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
