Proposed deletion of Hominity edit

The article Hominity has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Original research, self-promotion by author.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of John Alfred Hipple edit

Hello PUECH P.-F.,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged John Alfred Hipple for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ging287 (talk) 13:15, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:COPYVIO before you try to re-create this article. It is illegal, a copyright violation, to copy documents from other website and place here, word for word, as you did from here. It is also plagiarism. Therefore, I deleted the article for that reason. Bearian (talk) 16:39, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

How to address copyright confusion edit

Hello, PUECH P.-F. :)

I see that you've had some issues with content deleted as copied from your blog. The problem is that Wikipedia's account creation process doesn't allow us to verify that this is your blog, and because this is a legal matter we have to have proof. The good news is that this proof isn't so hard to provide. The easiest way to do is, when you publish a post at academia.edu, put a licensing statement on it verifying the release:

The text of this page is available for modification and reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts).

Please note that you are responsible for determining if academia.edu has laid a claim to your publication that would prevent your licensing it to others as well. Many publishers do not restrict authors from this, but some do.

Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information and, if you have any questions, you are very welcome to stop by my talk page or to call my attention to yours by adding [[User:Moonriddengirl]] to your answer. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:50, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry for the complication. :/ I can well imagine how frustrating it must have been. It's not that we don't welcome the help; it's just that with legal issues we must be careful, since they can hurt Wikipedia itself and our reusers (not to mention what they do to copyright holders who don't want their content here). If you can issue the license at academia.edu, we can easily restore these articles. It is just a matter of checking a box. If I can assist you in any way, please let me know. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:20, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

June 2015 edit

Hello, I'm Ibadibam. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Arcadia (utopia). Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. August 2017 edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Christian Hamel, from its old location at User:PUECH P.-F./sandbox/Christian Hamel. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. KGirl (Wanna chat?) 11:13, 24 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Christian Hamel has been accepted edit

Christian Hamel, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!
