Re:Urgent

All I could think of is the IP addresses 167.128.156.205, 45 and 40. There are still many addresses that may come from this server, but I'm not really that sure about it... Oh, and do you know how to speak Tagalog? Blake Gripling (talk) 02:36, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm afraid I don't know how to speak Tagalog seeing I only see my dad once a year. I'm sure he does, however. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 15:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't think I'll be able to get in touch with the school IT today because schools here in the USA are closed on Saturdays. Too bad Spring Break is over on Monday for me. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 16:02, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Grand Theft Jimbo

Oh, and how about the gangs? All I could think of is this:

  • The Arbcom - Jimmy's own gang
  • Uncyclopedians
  • The Ballas
  • Grove Street Families
  • The Triads
  • Mmbabies
  • H4xx0r Kings
  • The Manta Rays
  • The ID Phish

And should this take place in Jimbo's hometown? God Bless and have a nice day, homie... Blake Gripling (talk) 02:44, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I've got some ideas. Firstly, in the game, have it so that China had just taken over the US in the very beginning, and instead of cops, have Chinese militants. If you're wondering why, it's because the Chinese Great Firewall blocks access to Wikipedia. A couple more rival gangs could be The Mmbabies (not just one person in this case), The Vandals, The Destroyers, The Hacker Kings, The ID Phish, and the Manta Rays. The Mmbabies could be a whole bunch of anti-wiki Cubans who constantly are placing death threats against editors on Wikipedia. The Vandals could be, well, use your immagination. Do the same for the Destroyers. The Hacker Kings are people who hack peoples computers. They try hacking both Jimmy's computer and Wikipedia servers, which is unacceptable. The ID Phish make fraudulent websites to try and steal peoples bank account info, Myspace logins, and Wikipedia logins. It angers Jimmy and his gang when they send Jimmy himself a fraudulent email. Their ringleader is a 24 year old man. The Manta Rays are a bunch of cheerleaders at Lemon Bay High School, which is the rival of NJROTC's school (NJROTC is the nickname of a member of Jimbo's gang Arbcom, he got the name because he was a member of the Port Charlotte High School Pirate NJROTC Unit before the Chinese took over). THe cheerleaders enjoy vandalizing Wikipedia. Their ringleader is a cheerleader named Lindsay Charlotte, and their cheer uniforms are blue and gold. As far as the setting goes for the whole thing, I don't know. I do believe that GTA games tend to feature more than one location, right? I don't know because I don't own any of them, but I have seen

videos of them on You Tube. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 15:55, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it should have a part where the Chinese try to disable the Wikipedia servers and the Arbcoms have to fight them. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 16:21, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Take a look at Wikimedia Foundation and notice how Wikimedia Foundation was originally based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Although it is now based in San Francisco, California, I'm reading that Jimbo Wales was replaced by someone else for the Foundation's chair in 2006, and Wikimedia didn't move until 2007. I say it would be better to base the game in the State of Florida since Jimbo probably hadn't even dreamed of something called "the internet" or "Wikipedia" as a boy. If you want to make him young in the game, make it as if he were raised in St. Petersburg and he had gang buddies accross the state to help get rid of the vandals. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 16:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
About the Chinese stuff, I won't do that since it would be way too controversial; maybe a Triad gang would do the trick instead; San Francisco would be a nice location, but a typical GTA game takes place in a single city, although the original Grand Theft Auto game took place in three cities. OK, God Bless and see you around... Blake Gripling (talk) 00:45, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I hear that there's no little kids in GTA games. Excuse me if this sounds over the top, but that might change in this one. Well, okay, the idea isn't to have first graders being taken out, but more like fifth graders (the last grade of elementary school where I live). Yeah, make it so there's fifth graders who tick off Jimbo with their "test edits" to his user page (such as replacing it with "Maggie was here," but you might not want to make them look to "cute" because then people would see it as controversial. Fill an elementary school with fifth grade boys and girls from the San Fransisco slum, or something like that. Also make a gang of obsessed parents who Jimbo hates because they always ignore anything their own offspring does but create a mess when ever their offspring is the target of biting or cyberbullying on Wikipedia. These should be parents of kid(s) ranging between age 10 and 16. Sound good? GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 01:12, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I've got a great idea! I could make TV commercials for the game (which would actually only be viewable on the Grand Theft Jimbo page) using The Sims 2! I would use several cheats which would allow be to compile all kinds of cool scenes and use as much custom content as possible to minimize the chances of "copyright claims." BTW, copyright claims will be highly unlikely when I perform this as planned. I do all kinds of cool things with that game, including the constuction of miltiary bases, churches, high schools, prisons, hospitals, telephone switching stations, custom built college dorms with 50+ rooms, and other things the game makers would never imagine, and I make some hilarious scenarios, I'm sure I can find some way to spice up this idea. Another thing we need to consider is cheat codes for Grand Theft Jimbo. This idea goes along with my idea for a movie about someone working for the United States Navy IT. I plan to title it "Abuse Department," but it will be a long time before I get that far, it's not really my dream to go into the movie business, but more of an idea to create one based on hopefully my future life in the Navy IT and of course a few fictional scenes as well (the whole movie would be fiction, but it would be an action movie, I'd say more, but I'd rather not have "copycats"). I actually intend to mention Wikipedia vandalism in that, but that most certainly will not be the main theme. Too bad it will be years before I get to that. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 01:38, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Nice! I was thinking of a mod for this, but maybe if we upload it at YouTube, that would be better since WP's somewhat strict when it comes to copyright stuff... The only thing missing is a player model of Jimbo... OK, God Bless and see ya'... Blake Gripling (talk) 02:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Even better yet, we could create a blog at http://www.myspace.com about the game. We could upload videos, pictures, a description, maybe some music... GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 04:18, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
You might consider getting a GTA Place account and discussing about the game there. I'm a member there, you know... Blake Gripling (talk) 11:21, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Let me think about that, I have some specifics in mind but in the meantime the Wikipedia:Admin coaching page is a pretty good summary of what to work on and of course there's the Wikipedia:Guide_to_requests_for_adminship#What_RfA_contributors_look_for. Cheers – Zedla (talk) 04:46, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

I think I'm going to go for it. If I pass, that's great, if I fail, then hopefully I'll learned something. I need to try now because I'm going to be slowing down here shortly, which I'm going to guess may hurt my chances of passing if I wait, right? I'm guessing it would be like being a new user if I slowed down dramaticly and then started editing normally again. Have a great day! GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 22:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I missed that and it didn't work out, it's always a learning experience. take it in stride, be humble where you should, keep on vandal fighting, and it should work out next time. ps and yeah sure, no prob. – Zedla (talk) 01:24, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

24.0.21.173 vandalizing again

Hello again. You suggested a while ago that I should get in touch with you directly when 24.0.21.173 starts vandalizing again, and he's done so now. He's repeating exactly the same ones that he made in the past. Is there any chance of getting him blocked again (for the fifth or sixth time, I think). Thanks? Sockpuppetry case

OK, so I've sent you a message in your MySpace account, regarding some fanboy named Gerald who's messing around here. I think we need to investigate on this, as his fanaticism of Angel Locsin, the actress he's idolizing, is getting too far, resorting to POV-pushing and sockpuppetry to evade a possible block.

Here's his YouTube channel for further evidence. It's not that I'm humiliating him, but as you might see, there are some derogatory comments about him, which made me ROFL. And he's violating WP:CIVIL, too... OK, God Bless and have a nice day, sir... Blake Gripling (talk) 02:43, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Abuse reports/70.61.219.34

OK, I am at my wits end with this IP address. They have been repeatedly vandalising and I have been repetedly reverting the vandalism and I have repeatedly reported them for sanction, only to be diligently ignored or told that I'm in the wrong place. In the most recent abuse report I filed, I was informed that I should speak to you. Can you do anything, absolutly anything about this problem? Do I need to try to have the article protected again? Like I said, I'm at my wits end and am tempted to just let the vandalism stand the next time it comes up...and it will come up. -- jackturner3 (talk) 14:04, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Try WP:AIV, abuse reports can't block IPs. In fact, many abuse report volunteers don't even have the tools to block users (that includes myself). I think you misread, I instructed you to contact WP:AIV, not myself. I was the one that rejected the report. The report did not qualify for WP:ABUSE, but it may have qualified for WP:AIV, but I think it's already been blocked. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 21:29, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Grawp IP checkuser

I never filed a checkuser report so I'm not sure if those IPs are all the same person or not, but they've all been marked as socks of User:Grawp. Though as with many vandals, there may be imitators. I'm sorry I don't know more about IP related stuff.--Urban Rose 19:24, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report about Horny t (talk · contribs) at Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention. Unfortunately, your report has been removed due to the username not violating policy, or not being blatant enough for a block. Please remember you should only post infringements on this page if they are so serious that the user needs to be blocked immediately. Others should be discussed with the user in question first, for example using the {{Uw-username}} template. A request for comment can be filed if the user disagrees that their name is against the username policy, or has continued to edit after you have expressed your concern. Thank you. "Horny" can mean many things; in this case, an immediate innocent possibility is it being short for "horny toad"; that's one guess to illustrate why this isn't a blatant violation subject to immediate blocking. A request for comment can be filed if the user disagrees that their name is against the username policy, or has continued to edit after you have expressed your concern. Thank you. The context does not suggest leaping to any conclusions by removing a letter from the name; at that point, it really isn't "blatant", and therefore not appropriate for immediate blocking and thus not appropriate for reporting to WP:UAA. SamBC(talk) 17:29, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

UAA versus RFC/N

When it's unclear or ambiguous whether a username is being used inappropriately, it's better to have the discussion on WP:RFC/N. UAA is supposed to be for quick, obvious blocks. Some of your reports are perfectly valid, but I've just removed some that weren't clear-cut enough for UAA. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 17:31, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

It's also worth noting that names shouldn't go to RFC/N until you've tried to discuss the issue with the user, and haven't been satisfied by their explanation. SamBC(talk) 17:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
That sounds reasonable, I'll remember that. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 17:35, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

User:SexiReader

I've declined to block the account for User:SexiReader. The word sexy (or in this case, a misspelling) is not a violation of the policy: calling oneself sexy is not blatantly offensive or disruptive to the harmonious editing process. Thank you, VanTucky 19:12, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Aye aye sir/mam. I figured it would be considered a violation, but I guess I was wrong. I'm still goin' to keep an eye on that one, it seems to be a vandal. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:15, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
It's important to remember that WP:UFAA is only for blatant violations, like the Wikihater and the poop one. Ones that are borderline should be discussed with the user. VanTucky 19:32, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

This guy's harassing me...

Hey there... After a dozen warnings, this fanboy named User:Gerald Gonzalez, the same user that I'm talking about earlier, is now harassing me by sending hate speech at me via YouTube. NrDg told me he's annoying but not malicious, but it seems as though he's now resorting to being against WP:CIVIL, saying the f-word at me if I request full protection of Angel Locsin's article. Blake Gripling (talk) 10:04, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Do the same thing that I did when that cheerleader started harassing me on Myspace about my actions on Wikipedia; get the fool's account closed. If he's emailing you, create an account at http://www.spamcop.net and report him using their forwarding service. With death threats like that, I'm sure the moron's ISP would gladly disconnect his/her service. You don't have to WP:BITE when these jackasses decide to take their threats off of Wikipedia, so why not just report the violations and get these kind of pollywogs out of the way? Also, isn't there a way to report Youtube AUP violations too? The Network Abuse Clearinghouse says that abuse AT youtube DOT com is the correct address, but I'm almost certain that there's a button that says "report abuse" or something similar. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 03:36, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Aye aye, sir... But his profile photo shows that he's in an Internet cafe; if I notify the ISP I might as well compromise the computers there... I'll try contacting YT for that... God Bless and have a nice day... Blake Gripling (talk) 06:14, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
What's the IP? If it traces to an ISP such as AT&T, Verizon, Embarq, Comcast,

Wildblue, or other backbone, they'll probably forward your complaint to the internet cafe rather than cut their line. If the IP traces directly to the cafe rather than a backbone provider, then that's even better; you could contact them yourself. Then again, (s)he might not even be doing it from an internet cafe; (s)he could be doing it from home, work, or school. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 18:55, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Gentle reminder

Can I remind all of you of the core Wikipedia policy of NLT. I really don't want to block any of you as you're obviously all good-faith editors, but if necessary I will do so. If you have serious problems with other users' behaviour (without digging into the detail, it certainly appears from the discussion above that someone is acting inappropriately somewhere), raise the matter at ANI and it will almost certainly be resolved within minutes.iridescent 19:33, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Well, OK; I'm not really into any legal threats against him, but it seems as though he's not into proper netiquette... That's why I'm sharing this to you... God Bless and have a nice day... Blake Gripling (talk) 01:35, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Actually, we were discussing something that happened off of Wikipedia, but involved someone who also caused trouble on Wikipedia. Although very few people know it, anyone who decides to try to harass me about activity on Wikipedia, but takes it to other websites such as email, instantly become fair game, and I was just informing Mr. Gripling here what I do; he was having an issue that I deal with occasionally myself, and he asked me what to do. Of course, I usually don't mention what I do with people off of Wikipedia on Wikipedia. I had strict ways of handling spammers, hackers, and cyberbullies long before I came to Wikipedia, but I've had to mellow out a little as far as vandal fighting goes. Oh yeah, reporting people to their ISPs (or threatening to do so) usually has nothing to do with the legal system. Oh well, this discussion is done, hope my explaination helped. :) GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 04:32, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Updates on Port Charlotte High School

Hi there! I've been meaning to get to it for quite some time now, but with the summer here, I finally had time to edit a good bit of the work you did to the PCHS article. The whole community really appreciates that you've taken such time with the article - me included! It does have some serious WP:NPOV issues in the NJROTC section that I've addressed now (I wonder why? ;-) ), though, and I hope you'll agree that it reads better. In the future, I might suggest putting a little less information in the article if it really isn't "encyclopedic" - that being, concise and not more than I reader needs to know about it (references to awards that aren't defined or given nationally, for example). But again, nice work overall. My last comment though - do you think it alright if we take down one of the pictures of the unit's awards? It seems a bit overkill... Riskbreaker2987 (talk) 06:10, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, you can go ahead and remove the awards image, the main reason it was included was because I was trying to demonstrate notability (see the article talk page). I'm thinking about making some changes during the summer after all of this homework and final exams is over with. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 18:20, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Rollback

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can only be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you do not want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 00:43, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you sir/mam. Would it be acceptable for me to use it on Sandbox to see how it works real quick? GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 00:47, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
(Sir :D) Follow this:
    1. Go to the page you wish to use the rollback feature on (in this case, we will use Wikipedia:New admin school/Deleting/delete).
    2. Add two or more edits to the page.
    3. Go to the history page.
    4. Click on the blue-linked "rollback"   at the right-hand side of the last edit string.
    5. This will rollback the page to the version prior to your edits.
    6. To see the difference between rollback and the undo tool, go back to the page history and click "undo" instead of rollback.
Hope this helps! Malinaccier (talk) 00:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I don't know if it is the same for non-admin rollbackers as it is for admins, but you can also click on the user's contribution's page, and it should give you rollback links there. SWATJester Son of the Defender 01:28, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Are you talkin' 'bout Mr. Mmbabies? Hmm, I wonder if (s)he's switched ISPs. If (s)he's still active, and he's on AT&T, then they've probably blocked access to Wikipedia from her/his line. If (s)he does anything stupid, then report her/him to YouTube. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 18:25, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Lion Kimbro (LionKimbro)

Would you explain why you reverted my edits to Evolution Theology ..?

My understanding is that you're supposed to give some explanation, not just do it without talking.

LionKimbro (talk) 00:04, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

You deleted several citations from the references section. Sorry 'bout any confusion. :) GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 00:07, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Wow, ... You're fast.

The reason I deleted the references, were because they didn't include the phrase "Evolution Theology" anywhere inside of them.

They were related, but they didn't seem close enough to the specific page.

I also deleted the "cite" box, at the top of the page, because the links that I added specifically had the phrase "Evolution Theology" in it.

That's my explanation for my edits.

LionKimbro (talk) 00:10, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I see. Thank's for clearing that up. If that's the case, you should have said something in the edit summary. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 00:12, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

OK, so, do you mind if I revert your reversion?

A question

So... wait. Are you a pirate? --Candleguy1994 (talk) 13:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I am a pirate... that is if you're talking about a PCHS student. If you're talking about an actual pirate on a ship stealing from other ships, then you should read the Port Charlotte High School article. :) GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 20:04, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Your comment at WP:RFU

The problem with Grawp is his IP range fluctuates a lot. He uses a lot of open proxies, IIRC, so it's extremely difficult, if not nigh impossible, to trace him down to a single blockable IP range, much less a single ISP. I've seen a couple of the IP's he's used within a couple days by following some CU blocks, and their traceroutes went all over the globe. You may want to contact a checkuser (via email if you want to get the IPs, and be aware you may not get them due to the Privacy Policy, despite the fact I think he's forfeited any right to that at this point), but it may not get you very far; believe me, we've tried. Fortunately, there's some changes being made in the Mediawiki software that should slow him down considerably, but he's found loopholes in the software previously. Best of luck, should you decide to work on this. Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 02:13, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Most definitely. I am busy with university papers these couple days, so I will not be able to start immediately. In the meanwhile, I have set up the coaching page for you under your user page. You can start by answering few of my questions. Aquarius • talk 02:41, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Queerbubbles

Queerbubbles is a longstanding editor who has been editing in good faith. Please take it up with them on their talk page or at WP:RFCN. Malinaccier (talk) 03:00, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

I know that the user is a good faith editor, but UAA is not a place to report bad faith editing, it is a place to report bad usernames. I will, however, try using the warning template; I know that it's not the goal of UAA to block people who are here in good faith. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 03:05, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm gonna direct you to User:Queerbubbles#About the Nickname. I already changed my username once from Boydannie to this one. I'm not gonna do it again since I'm pretty established as Queerbubbles. I've shorted my sig to be QB, which is what folks call me. Sorry if you find it offensive, but I already explained it. Thanks. Qb | your 2 cents 21:36, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't really offend me since I'm not a queer; I don't even like queers as a matter of fact. I just don't think the username meets Wikipedia's username policy. Oh well, so much for my opinion. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 03:32, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Despite everything in my heart saying not to take this any further, and to stop typing, all I'm going to say that you need to reevaluate your ideas and start to look beyond the stereotype. I hope one day you will be brought to drop any negative connotations that you have regarding gay people. That said, sorry about your grandmother. The death of a grandparent is always hard. Wikipedia:Abuse reports/69.19.14.xx

Hi, I just wanted to drop a note and ask if there's been any more movement on Wikipedia:Abuse reports/69.19.14.xx? I've been adding incidents as they crop up, but I'm not sure where this stands. A couple of the original IP addresses were noted as "done", but the incidents haven't really ceased, and actually, someone else dropped in a couple of related incidents. Thanks. Yngvarr (t) (c) 22:12, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

They're noted as done because incidents from those IPs had been reported. The IPs appear to be shared proxies, so abuse will probably never cease from them, but individual users may be cut/warned as we report them. I think I might see if I can get the HughesNet abuse department on the phone tomarrow and encourage them to subscribe to the RSS feed so that we don't have to write HughesNet for every single incident. I'll take another look at that report. The ISPs need logs with a proper time stamp more than anything else. Descriptions of the incidents do help, but block logs are usually useless to ISPs. Thanks for helping WP:ABUSE! GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 00:45, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for replying. So is there anything else, different, or otherwise that I should do in the meanwhile? Yngvarr (t) (c) 16:06, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Look for more HughesNet vandal IP addresses and list them on [[Wikipedia:Abuse reports/69.19.14.xx if you would like to help. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:52, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia Sandbox DO NOT DELETE, THIS IS A TEST

Use the sandbox for this, dont create articles for it. Ironholds 07:05, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank's for the advice, but I'm not stupid; I know to use the sandbox. I created that so that I could move it toWikipedia:Sandbox and see if there would be a warning stating that there was already a page titled Wikipedia:Sandbox. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 07:10, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
For what reason? :S. And i'd like to point out you can move user pages; in future make a subpage and test it with that instead of wasting my time. Ironholds 07:12, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
I moved a page without checking to see if there was already an article with the name that I moved it to, and I'm hoping that I didn't overwrite something. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:10, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

There's concern that your account and that of another editor have been compromised, and as a result I have blocked you from editing. Please see the ongoing discussion at WP:ANI, and we'll see what can be done about sorting everything out. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 02:53, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

I have sent you a email in regards to the above block, like Ultraexactzz said we are going to try and see what we can do about sorting this all out. Tiptoety talk 03:00, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Request handled by: UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 16:18, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

I have pinged Tiptoety, I guess only he can validate the request. -- lucasbfr talk 14:59, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I confirm that its you, but I think you have to reset your password. At the log-in screen, select e-mail new password instead of log-in, and that should do it. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 15:22, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I got a message stating that my IP address is blocked from editing. Possible compromise of network security? I'll have to run virus scans before you unblock my account. :/ GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 15:31, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
No, that's the autoblock since (unfortunately) you're a blocked user. Can you change your pass via My Preferences? UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 15:34, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't know how to do that. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 15:37, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
BTW, would my school's IP and the hospial's IP be autoblocked too? GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 15:39, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
If you log in from there while blocked, yep. Shouldn't be an issue, though - Go to My Preferences at the top of the screen. The bottom fields on that page should be Change Password. Follow the instructions there. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 15:43, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Done. BTW, I did not login on from the other places while blocked. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 15:55, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, I've unblocked (again) and cleared the autoblock. You should be good to go from here on out. You've handled it well; the other compromised account did not have e-mail enabled, so not sure how that'll sort itself out. Ping me if there's anything else I can do. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 16:18, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. BTW, ping is an MS-DOS command prompt diagnosics tool, and it requires the knowledge of an IP address. What exactly do you mean by "ping me"? Just a question. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 16:33, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
<-- I meant that you should leave a message on my talk page, which would trigger the new messages bar - essentially, a ping to get my attention. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 17:51, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay, thank you. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 18:16, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
