I do have a question regarding the ribbons I post on Wiki.

On this particular page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Newton_(admiral)#Awards_and_Decorations take a look about the Awards and Decorations section. The 3rd ribbons there is a silver maple leaf on it. it is hard to see. My main concern is: The maple leaf shall be silver and I can not change the background. Is there a way to make the leaf more visible? We have an other ribbon with the middle part black and it works perfectly but this particular ribbon is not so good. Do you have a solution?
Thank you
~~p2bn~~

It appears that the maple leaf has been superimposed on image of the ribbon. I don't know if that's kosher, but I would look for an image that shows the result you want without this sort of modification. You might want to ask the folks at WP:WikiProject Military History for further suggestions. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 16:33, 10 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Indiana Jones has been reverted.
Your edit here to Indiana Jones was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Genesis_Deluge, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Unicorn's_Legacy, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Interior_World, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Sky_Pirates, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_White_Witch, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Philosopher's_Stone, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Dinosaur_Eggs, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Hollow_Earth, http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Secret_of_the_Sphinx) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to an external Wiki, then please note that these links should generally not be included (see 'links to avoid' #12).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Non-free images

edit

If you want to link to non-free images, as you did from First Sea Lord, you need to ensure that there is a specific non-free use rationale for use on that particular page, An NFUR for another page is not valid. I haven't reverted your changes, but you need to address the problem. --David Biddulph (talk) 17:13, 25 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
