Very simply because he was a polytheist and the whole point of the Quran is monotheism. Per the belief of all Muslims, the Quran does not engage in romantic legends or fictionalized stories, it is all fact and absolute truth as it is the word of God. Given that Alexander the Great's life is very well documented these parallels seem quite a stretch. No one know for sure which historical figure Dhul-Qarnayn actually is, but it is certainly not Alexander the Great. Most Muslim scholars believe it to be Cyrus the Great of Persia.OzH349 (talk) 15:59, 12 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
