License tagging for Image:Maceo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Maceo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:09, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Sica and Iannone edit

No, I am not responsible for that edit but I asked around for you. Here is the answers i got.
"sica was never a member of the la family. actually his crew was probably more powerful then the family. he was close associates to those men and members of the la family and even other familys back east. a real gangster but never a made member of any family. Terry"
"They are talking about Danny "Wilson" Iannone who was one of Dragna's guys in the LA family.Sica I knew very well and when he was young he did alot of work for Jack Dragna and Jack wanted him in the family in the worst way but Joe didnt want to be made or "owned" as he put it.Joe was then working or partners with Cohen in bookmaking and other things but didnt like Cohen's loud attention getting ways so he went on his own.He had his four brothers with him and not a crew but a hundred associates or more across the state of California at his prime. He had connections to the Govenor's office and stayed under the radar,a lot of guys confuse not having a lot of press or books about him as having been a free lance guy with little or no power. The fact is he was a power so respected by LCN bosses he was invited to many of thier families weddings and treated as an equal by Accardo,Marcello and other bosses. He had the largest bookmaking operation west of Chicago bar none.He was smooth and had balls of steel and everyone made money with Joe thats why LA had such a hard time recruiting any of his guys because Joe had loyalty like no one else.He went to bat for his men and took care of them when in the can or jammed up.I guess you could call it a gang but it was state wide.I always read on charts that they always have some of Joe's guys down as LA guys due to some confusion but reality was far different Joe had a bunch of Italian guys from back east who were capable killers in fact a number of families went to him when they wanted no trail back to them.Pat LoPrieda and others were his guys.He had his office at the Formosa Cafe which is still open in LA and I still go there and have a drink in his memory.Joe had Armenian crews and Lebanese in the Central Valley from Bakersfield to Stockton not to mention Okies and others,Joe didnt care much for ethnicity he was about loyalty and quality he died peacefully in a retirement home in the early 90s.Every LCN guy in California was scared shitless of him,he had a stable of killers.Mike Rizzitello worked free lance for him as a killer as well. Angelo"

Hope that helps some. Alexbonaro 02:38, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Delbgwh.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Delbgwh.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:37, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
