November 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. ST47 (talk) 03:06, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

Renamed, therefore I have lifted your block. Please note that you are required to adhere to WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO (the last of which you have, thankfully, not violated). The easiest way to do so is to refrain from any direct edits where you have a conflict of interest, and simply suggest edits on the article's talk page, after disclosing your conflict. This isn't the only way to follow the policies, but is the easiest way. Please understand, I'm meaning this to be helpful advice rather than an admonition. :) Yamla (talk) 11:45, 26 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Silverstripe edit

Hi Okh2019, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you disclosed that you are a WP:PAID editor on behalf of Silverstripe. That’s all well and good. However, as a paid editor, this also means you have a conflict of interest. As such, I have restored the redirect of the Silverstripe article for now. Per the COI policy, you can still work on a new article for your organization, but you must do so through the WP:AFC process. After that, you’re strongly discouraged from editing the page directly, but by all means can suggest edits on the article’s talk page for other editors to implement. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me at my talk page. Thanks, and welcome to Wikipedia! Red Phoenix talk 21:54, 10 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Silverstripe.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Silverstripe.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:32, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

  Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Silverstripe CMS into Draft:Silverstripe. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:41, 13 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
