Replaceable fair use File:Eddie Hoh at Monterey Pop.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Eddie Hoh at Monterey Pop.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:14, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Magnificent improvements on "Rocket 88" and the birth of rock and roll

Talk about cutting through the BS. Great work! Ortolan88 (talk) 15:58, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

But apparently not enough — it's been excised by all sides in the turf war, showing at least it isn't biased. By the way, the first blues songs were written by Led Zeppelin using the unlikely names "Muddy 'Traditional' Wolf", etc... —Ojorojo (talk) 16:53, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Paul Butterfield

I have GA reviewed this and left comments in Talk:Paul Butterfield/GA1. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:09, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Paul Butterfield

The article Paul Butterfield you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold  . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Paul Butterfield for things which need to be addressed. Danger Will Robinson

The comment you made here about someone being a sockpuppet could be at WP:BOOMERANG if you do not immediately follow it up a WP:SPI. It's quite possibly the worst form of personal attack. Either apologize for the comment or start an investigation. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:53, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

Look at the user page User:HurluGumene:

Ojorojo (talk) 14:58, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

I did look at the user's talk page and there were no open investigations. I asked you to make the accusation and you hadn't and have still not done so. I have been accused of being a sockpuppet twice over my time here. It was obviously not the case. So just because someone has been accused is no reason to bring it up again. If you have an accusation, make it. If not, don't slander the editor. And finally, don't comment on my talk page if I ask you to follow-up here and leave a talkback notice. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:16, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
A glance at both songs' talk pages on this same issue (and most Led Zeppelin articles) shows that they are very actively abused by proven sockpuppets. It is entirely reasonable to assume that when an accusation has been raised, it has some basis. Your experience with the fraudulent AFD, etc. would be useful in raising the issue. —Ojorojo (talk) 15:43, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Wow. You don't get it. I'm not saying that there is or isn't evidence to support your claim. this is not a court and you don't have to defend yourself. What I'm saying is that it's is against WP:NPA to make the claim without following up. That is the only reasonable thing. If you want to assume things, feel free to, but do not voice those opinions. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:50, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

OK, point taken. Still, how best to keep sockpuppets from mucking things up? —Ojorojo (talk) 16:15, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
generally, you report them. Once an account is confirmed as a sock, all edit (regardless of quality) can and should be removed by any editor. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:04, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
