Terai-Madhesh and your sockpuppet friend.

Could you file another SPI on the user. If it is a sock, then the article can be deleted. Looks like you are having way too much fun with the idiot. Bgwhite (talk) 07:29, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

@Bgwhite: It's many things, but "fun" is not one of them. Ogress smash! 15:44, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Aghori

Hi, I wish to know why you are constantly removing the links in the Aghori page. They are websites related to the argument. Regards

Damrumya — Preceding unsigned comment added by Damrumya (talkcontribs) 10:01, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

@Damrumya: Those are not cites, they are external links, and they are entirely in Italian. This is the English Wikipedia, so they don't belong. Also, you are spamming them on multiple pages like advertising, which is frowned upon. If you have material to add to a page, you can cite them if they meet WP:RS, but don't just stick them on the pages. Ogress smash! 10:05, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

No, You are wrong, the first link is completely in English, the other two are both english and italian, don't you see the flags on the top of websites? Anyway what I provided is an english link. Have you tried to click on them to see?

This is not spam, but pages where you may get more information on the argument.

Try to learn some respect for others.

Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Damrumya (talkcontribs) 10:16, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

It's not about respect, it's about endless links being added to multiple pages constantly. And what argument? If you are using these as sources for a discussion, you need to cite them properly, not staple them to the bottom of pages. Ogress smash! 10:19, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

The argument is Aghori and Bhagwan Ram ji, and my website talk about them, have you check out? I'm not linking something with course or economic interest or not related with the argument of pages. This not spam, please. Try to understand. You are giving reasons without knowing, as you before was stating that they where only in Italian when they where not.

So I will insert my link again and please think for your problems instead of giving troubles to others. You are not God and you have not the right to judge only on the basis of your limited experience and knowledge.

Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Damrumya (talkcontribs) 10:55, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi

Hi Ogress! It seems that User:Stevenloveswaffles15 keeps changing various Korean articles from "kingdom" to "empire" without any explanations. Do you know what is the best way to handle it, thanks! --Cartakes (talk) 01:47, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

@Cartakes: I saw and reverted his first wave (he did quite a few). I invited him to the Teahouse, but if he's still doing it, we should warn him and try to get him to discuss on the talk page. He's also doing annoying things like insisting on piping Monarch with Taewang (which is Korean for "monarch") and the like. I'm actually suspicious he might be a recently-banned Korean nationalist editor, but I'm going to treat him like he's a new editor until he does something to prove it. Ogress smash! 01:49, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Goguryeo Rulers

It has been verified that goguryeo rulers since the reign of Gwanggaeto the Great have used the title of "Taewang" which is an equivalent imperial rank as the Chinese "emperor". Therefore, rulers should be Taewang not just Wang.--Stevenloveswaffles15 (talk) 02:05, 1 September 2015 (UTC) Taewang — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevenloveswaffles15 (talkcontribs) 01:57, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

@Stevenloveswaffles15: First, please sign your comments with ~~~~. Second, we use English on the English encyclopedia, so we will call him a "monarch". Your other changes are against consensus and you need to discuss them on the talk pages (not my talk page) since they were reverted. Ogress smash! 02:00, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Where do i go to persuade people of the whole "taewang" topic?Stevenloveswaffles15 (talk) 02:17, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
@Stevenloveswaffles15: You said it was about Goguryeo, go to the talk page of that article. Ogress smash! 02:18, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Sorry i didn't know what talk pages were i just joined. Balhae was actually an empire as stated in the books of Tang saying it is the empire of the east. The people also used the title emperor not king. Stevenloveswaffles15 (talk) 02:08, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Im confused

So i made a new section and wrote about the reasons why it should be changed. Does somebody need to give me approval to change it or something or can i go ahead and change it right now? And how would i know im allowed to change it if someone does give me approval? Stevenloveswaffles15 (talk) 02:36, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

No, you wait for discussion. Perhaps you need to start by going to the Teahouse to learn the basics of Wikipedia editing such as WP:CONSENSUS. There are links on your talk page, I put them there: User talk:Stevenloveswaffles15. Ogress smash! 02:44, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Five minutes to help make WikiProjects better

Hello!

First, on behalf of WikiProject X, thank you for trying out the WikiProject X pilot projects. I would like to get some anonymous feedback from you on your experience using the new WikiProject layout and tools. This way, we will know what we did right, and if we did something horribly wrong, we can try to fix it. This feedback won't be associated with your username, so please be completely honest. We are determined to improve the experience of Wikipedians, and your feedback helps us with that. (You are also welcome to leave non-anonymous feedback at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject X.)

Please complete the survey here. The survey has two parts: the first part asks for your username, while the second part contains the survey questions. These two parts are stored separately, so your username will not be associated with your feedback. There are only nine questions and it should not take very long to complete. Once you complete the survey I will leave a handwritten note on your talk page as a token of my appreciation.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Harej (talk) 17:49, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

My comment referencing you ...

Asking for reliability of source

Sorry to disturb you, but I wanted to confirm if this is considered as a scholarly source as per Wikipedia Norms for adding dates and events in Timeline of Jainism. https://books.google.co.in/books?id=MDBpq23-0QoC written by John Cort -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 18:34, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

It's a really good book IMO, but that's my opinion. I own a copy (somewhere). Just remember we're differentiating between Jain belief and fact: just because he reports the Jain community says X happened a million years ago doesn't mean we add it to world history dates, it's a Jainism date. Ogress smash! 18:36, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks I'm not adding anything to world history nor anything about who says what. I am just adding Temples and idols dating to Timeline of Jainism. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 18:41, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Recent reverts on Naga people and Nagaland

You just reverted my edits on these pages with an edit summary "very dated and POV". I added a comprehensive and detailed account on the origin of the word Naga and all of it reliably sourced with published material. You cannot simply revert because you felt uncomfortable about the content. I'm reverting your edit as of now and please start a discussion in the talk if you found any factual error in my edit or at least explain where exactly did you feel I was trying to push POV. Malayala Sahityam (talk) 19:29, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Your attribution is fringe and I do not see WP:RS. Naga has been used by Indic speakers for like at least 4000 years to refer to people they consider "savages". You're quoting British Raj-era fringe stuff, engaging in WP:SYNTH, and generally not providing Wikipedic level material. Ogress 19:33, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Request

Would you like to help in Peer Review of Mahavira? Thanks in advance -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 21:05, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

Capankajsmilyo Potentially, although I'm sort of taking it very light on Wikipedia right now because of illness. Sorry for the delay in replying. I'd like to see the many śramaṇa movement pages at a much better quality than they are now, and Mahavira's obviously near the top of that list. Ogress 20:01, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
ohh sorry to disturb. By Mahavira do you mean that it has improved or it has to be improved. I'm sorry but I couldn't get what you said. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 20:18, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Your question about the editing of Korean history

Regarding User talk:EdJohnston#Cydevil38(00) is clearly back, I don't have any clear idea of what to do next. My guess is you probably are filing some SPI reports. I am willing to consider semiprotecting more articles on Korean history. If there are long-term wars, especially involving registered accounts, it is helpful to make a summary of the questions on the talk page of some relevant Wikiproject. EdJohnston (talk) 00:34, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

@EdJohnston: He's just autoreverting stuff up to 2 reverts, then waiting. I warned him a few days ago that contentious editing across all of Goguryeo while refusing to discuss constituting edit warring, but he's at it again. Warning: User talk:Stevenloveswaffles15#September 2015 2; his edit history demonstrates he's doing it again. Ogress smash! 08:51, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
@EdJohnston: Just fyi he just socked again as Cydaemon (talk · contribs) and got blocked, just to keep you aware this sitch might still be a live one. Ogress 20:03, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Though few people would consider this sensible behavior, I don't see where Cydevil is actually banned. Some of the accounts he has used are blocked. He doesn't appear to be the same person as User:Stevenloveswaffles15. It looks as though Stevenloveswaffles15 might be risking an edit warring complaint, though I know so little of the subject matter it is hard to follow. Do you regularly work with anyone who knows any east Asian languages and is a long-term sensible Wikipedia editor? Even for admin work, it does help to have subject-matter knowledge, or know someone who does. EdJohnston (talk) 22:24, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
@EdJohnston: I know no one who speaks Korean. I can read some Chinese and Classical Chinese and Korean and Japanese in the sense that I can pick my way through the issues of correct characters, names and romanisations, but no real fluency due to about 20 years of neglect. Ogress 00:47, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
@EdJohnston: I know three administrators who are familiar with East Asian history: Nlu, Philg88, and Yunshui. Nlu has dealt with Cydevil before, but has been largely inactive recently. -Zanhe (talk) 03:16, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Undiscussed moves

Hi! Your move log shows many main space articles being moved and sadly they were mostly undiscussed moves. I came to notice this because of the currently on-going discussion at Talk:Jñāneśvar. Can you please justify these moves? Better would be to revert them, get admin's help if needed and start discussions on individual pages. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 08:55, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

I took this topic to WT:INB. Please reply there. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 09:10, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
