Some minor details to fix / make more precise / add IMO :

  • about the "Size" field in the vertical "project categorization" bar on the right : shouldn't we use here some kind of "global" size of one of our source or binary distributions ? Can find which package(s) the current 332.7 Mb value matches with. Why not the 907 Mb total size of our official 2.0.0 RC1 source distribution at SF.net ? Which is about the same as the 858 Mb total size of our official 2.0.0 RC1 Windows 32 bit distribution.
  • same bar on the right : until now, our dev team is mostly named as "the Speed Dreams Team" (in various release announcements, our Wiki at SF.net) : probably simpler than "The Speed Dreams development team".
  • chapter "1.1 Racing modes" : may be add a word about the text-only mode at the end of the 1 paragraph : like "For such uses, Speed Dreams 2 even offers a 'text-only' mode which enables 100% no-graphics races on headless / console-only computers" ?
  • Chapter "1.5 Physics" : Kristof would say it better, but IIRC, Simu V2.0 is already pseudo-3D, Simu V2.1 as well ("only" a better Simu V2.0 with bug fixes, no really new major features), while Simu V3 is truely 3D.
  • Chapter "2.2.1 Car features" : The "level of detail" feature is truly available and active in the code, but actually not used in any of our official cars, probably because of the amount of work needed in order to produce the added lower-level-of-detail 3D models.

  • Size: I chose the size of the 1.4.0 sources TAR because that is what we have officially released as "stable" at the moment; actually, on the man page of the "Infobox software" template which I've used there isn't anything useful about the size parameter (Template:Infobox software#Parameters). Then, as 1.4.0 is going to be superseded by 2.0-final hopefully soon, I definitely agree with you; yet the final word will probably come from a Wikipedia admin, when we'll have the article reviewed by WikiProject Video games.
  • Dev team name: thank you for the hint, I'm fixing it :-)
  • Text-only mode: thank you for reminding me of this, will add it ASAP.
  • Physics: I'm updating the article accordingly; I'd suggest to check the Simulation section of the options manual: IMO, it slightly gives the idea that SimuV2.1 is pseudo-3D and SimuV2 is not.
  • Argh! Erm... ok, I'll update the article; BTW, why did we forget to add LODs? IIRC, at least the original version of the Supercars set had it - yes, I'm aware that each model has been changed several times since then. As the UV mapping (i.e. the texture file) doesn't change with different levels, can't we create some LODs using automatic poly reducers, for 2.0? (Probably we are too late... but a LODs package on the community forums isn't a bad idea, even after the release).
