Speedy deletion of Ligers fc edit

A tag has been placed on Ligers fc, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. obentomusubi 05:06, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Ligers FC article you are asking Camw to restore appears to contain many false claims (Superleague, FAM Cup etc). Once these are removed there are no claims to notability left in the article. If your club is notable, you will need to verify those claims with references to reliable sources to have a Wikipedia article. Sorry, it is not likely that anyone will restore an article that contains deliberately false information. Please read the links I have provided before writing any further articles. Note that the speedied article Ligers fc above was a previous attempt. SpinningSpark 11:20, 18 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ligers FC edit

Per your request, I have put the deleted content here so that you can work on it. When you are ready to publish it and have removed all the information about the Malaysian league and such then you can move it to the main article space. Please note that you have to show that this subject is notable, the main criteria for this is that the "topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" - so newspaper or magazine articles covering the club in depth would be an example of a reliable source contributing to notability. If you do not show that this topic is notable then it will be subject to probable deletion if it is moved back to the main article area. See also the same advice from Spinning Spark above.
