Yeah I was looking for a complete Peer Review before moving on to the text which is the major issue. I don't want to go through another long FAC with issues other than the text. I'll put in a request at the guild as well. NumerounovedantTalk 09:39, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Kalki Koechlin at Grazia young Fashion Awards (cropped).jpg

A tag has been placed on File:Kalki Koechlin at Grazia young Fashion Awards (cropped).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Majora (talk) 22:09, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Daniel Radcliffe on screen and stage

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Daniel Radcliffe on screen and stage. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Daniel_Radcliffe. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Daniel_Radcliffe – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. HappyValleyEditor (talk) 18:17, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

Jessica Chastain

I'm surprised that you'd go ahead and nominate her article for GA after 16 not-so major edits. The article is nowhere close to GA quality, and I have been meaning to expand it for a while now. I suggest you withdraw the nomination for now, and let me work on it. Cheers! --Krimuk|90 (talk) 03:19, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Something similar has happened with Randeep Hooda's article. You never even updated his career section after "Ungli" and it still contains several unsourced claims.Yashthepunisher (fall) 04:06, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
I am sorry that is just the way I work I made the basic required edits and put it up for a review and because I am really quick to reply to the comments I make the changes rather quickly (even if there are too many), I don't like dragging the article into unnecessary conflicting interests. If you guys have complaints with the quality of the article you could come up with them in the reviews! If I don't respond and fix them that's when your "opinions" should be brought up. I went through the entire GA review of Chastain's article and didn't find any serious lags so consequently I fixed the references added new where they were needed and put it up for the review. Prose issues are rather easy to fix and quick work can be done there. The only area where I can agree with you here is the coverage area of the article but again it's not like anyone is doing anything about it (I don't see any ongoing work on the talk page). If this review (failed/successful) helps make it better why not? As far as Hooda goes, it was a long time back and I felt like the article was comprehensive enough, nothing wrong came up in the review. As fir its cirrent state I'm a littlw busy thess days so i opened a PR for help, I don't see the problem here? If you have do many claims for the article why don't you come up with your suggestions in the Peer Review that I just opened, or is putting up claims here easier? I really don't want to sound resounding but no one bothered to come up with any ideas to help the article in the PR up untill never? NumerounovedantTalk 07:19, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Also before the "WP:GAN is not an alternative for WP:PR" I really suggest we try to work this through because nobody seems to appreciate any help here. NumerounovedantTalk 07:23, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
That makes no sense. Why don't you help improve the article yourself, by actually working to improve it? Don't blame others for not taking an interest in doing something, we are all volunteering here and have no obligation to help you achieve results. Anyway, I will be improving the Chastain article soon, so it would be better to avoid any conflict here. I am asking you nicely to withdraw the nomination for now, so the article history is not littered with failed attempts. Alternately, if you are interested in constructively expanding the article, you are always welcome to do so. A "green star" is of little merit if the article quality is so poor. --Krimuk|90 (talk) 07:57, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
I would like that for now too. No one is obligated to anything here and that should also include putting trivial complaints of how any article meets a criteria. I just believe signing up for a re-assesmennt (for Hooda's article) would have been the right thing here. I am not obligated to explain why my articles pass/fail the review either right? Also I did not see any edit from you that actually indicated any attempt to improve the article other than the filmography split. So I don't think I was conflicting anything there. Anyway I like your work and would love to work on the Chastain article. NumerounovedantTalk 08:35, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Kalki Koechlin

Hello Numerounovedant: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Kalki Koechlin has been completed. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

You will notice that I archived one of the article’s citations (#1). I suggest that you archive the rest of the URLs as time allows. This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and that it doesn’t develop “dead links” over time. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the URL in the citation and paste it in the “Save Page Now” box on the archive.org site and click save. This creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new URL to add to the original citation. If you look at the URL I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new URL to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl=http etc|archivedate=13 February 2015}}. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use.

Kind regards,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 19:34, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

I do have one query, Do you think the article is cluttered with quotes? And should they be removed from the prose? NumerounovedantTalk 19:43, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
@Numerounovedant You're most welcome. No, I do not think that the article is cluttered with quotes. They are relevant and add to the article's content. They should remain where they are. Only lengthy quotes are set up as block quotes. I don't feel that the article would have achieved GA status if quotes had been an issue at the time it was reviewed. Cheers. Okay, so according to WP:MoS a lead should not have any footnotes and they should be placed in the body of the article wherever required. See WP:LEADCITE second paragraph, first line. Also, in case you are unsatisfied you can good though any good/featured article on Wikipedia and none cite references on the leas unless it is completely essential. Ben Affleck GA review

I'm confused that you have failed the article so soon. You indicated in your first post about the article that you were not finished reviewing ("Will put up the comments shortly, but I can already see a lot of issues", "I will take a look at the career section in a couple of days.") and would do so in a "couple of days". I was waiting for you to outline the issues before getting started on addressed them.Popeye191 (talk) 19:48, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry but I was expecting some kind of response from you. It had been more than 10 days. You could have at least acknowledged having read the comments. Plus I did have a major concern on the long list of bare URLs which was unaddressed on the review page too, neither was the Quotefarm concern, nor the one of the Congo initiatives. NumerounovedantTalk 20:01, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Nowhere does it say that an article up for GA review should be failed after 10 days, especially when the reviewer has not reviewed the vast majority of the article and has stated that the main body of the article would be reviewed within a "couple" of days. If you had even indicated that you were planning to fail it if nobody responded to your first few remarks, then the situation could have been rectified.
Furthermore, the issue of the long list of bare urls was rectified on 5 June. Popeye191 (talk) 16:46, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
No it wasn't, all the publisher name were not rectified. I still stand by the fact that it was short of GA standard by quite some margin. Anyway, you can anytime nominate it fir a re-assessment. I think that's our only option here. Right? NumerounovedantTalk 17:43, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Did You Hear What Happened to Charlotte King?

Hey. I don't know if you remember me or not, but I was the person that did your review for the Grey's Anatomy episode "The Sound of Silence". I was wondering if you could review the article I just created for the Private Practice episode "Did You Hear What Happened to Charlotte King?"? I would like to have someone from the WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors and revise/edit on my own to hopefully nominate it for GA. Thank you in advance and sorry for the intrusion. Aoba47 (talk) 06:47, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

@Aoba47: Hey, yes of course I remember you. It was easy to review it. It's in a good state but yeah c.e. would greatly help. Good luck, and let me know if I can be of any help. NumerounovedantTalk 07:21, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

A note regarding unreliable sources

I just saw some of your recent edits, e.g. 1 & 2, at the Jwala Gutta. The user-generated sources that you have added are not acceptable as per WP:USERGENERATED. Note that crowdsourcing websites like Sportskeeda can never be used unless the "content was authored by, and is credited to, credentialed members of the site's editorial staff". I haven't removed them yet as I thought you would systematically replace them with the reliable ones after going through the aforementioned wiki policy. BTW, keep up your commendable work of helping articles to reach GA/FA status! - NitinMlk (talk) 19:22, 22 July 2016 (UTC)

@NitinMlk: Thank you for appreciating the work, and the observation you put forward. However, I have to disagree on this instance, because the article has been penned by a correspondent for the website. I am aware of the fact that reliable sources are the ones from either reputed news agencies or reputed journalists. This however, is just to support a simple claim of the credentials of the athlete which have also been discussed in the article. Let me know of what you think. NumerounovedantTalk 09:21, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
@Numerounovedant: Firstly, I guess you neither properly read the policy cited by me nor read the quote I picked from it. The author should be a credentialed member of the site's editorial staff. You cited a source authoured by a guy named Shankar Narayan, who is 'a die-hard Rahul Dravid fan'. But what are his credentials as a journalist? You have to understand the working of crowdsourcing websites like Sportskeeda. Even you can pen down a puff piece of your favorite sportsperson & they will most probably publish it. And the other user-generated uncredited source that you cited here doesn't even support the claims of Jwala being the "one of the few recognisable female athletes of the country and has been listed several times among the top most inspiring sportswomen of India". In fact, here are other examples of the unreliable user-generated sources added by you in the Jwala Gutta's article:
Here you added a horrible source on which whole of Jwala's 'Playing style' section is based. Later on bot added its archived link here but that doesn't support any info of the section, although it wouldn't have mattered as the source was unacceptable to start with.
Here you again cited this Shankar Narayan.
Here you cited source credited to some nobody named Tanuj Kar but it can be easily replaced.
Here is another one.
Secondly, you are not the only one to add these type of sources to the article. In fact, some of other users added even worse sources, e.g. the very first paragraph of the article's lead is based on again a user-generated source. And its author is allegedly a porn actress - if you believe the pic. Now don't ask me how I recognized the pic. ;) Current reference no. 11, 20, 48, 61 are other examples of the user-generated unacceptable sources, which were added by other users.
Thirdly, the easier way, which many users adopt here, would've been to remove these unreliable sources as per WP:USERGENERATED & bombard the article with templates like {{Cn}}, {{Refimprove}}, {{Original Research}}, etc. But I didn't do that yet thinking that you might want to sort them out.
Finally, as you have already worked so much on this article, it won't be much challenging for you to replace some of these sources with the reliable ones. Those ones for which you won't find the reliable source, you will have to rewrite the relevant portion by citing reliable sources. I could've helped you but I am a bit busy in real life. BTW, I didn't get the alert message of your post. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:08, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
I would like to thank you for showing interest in her article. She was the reason I joined wikipedia. :D However, most of major edits are really old and part of my intila editions. There are going to be numerous mistakes amd the article needs extensive amount of work, but, at this point of time I might not have the time. I have made some basic improvements, and will look at the rest when I have time. However, I still stand by the fact thta sportskeeda ref in the lead is acceptable. (In cases use of imdb as a ref has also been alowed usually when the info can be cross-checked in the article.) Thanks again for being enthusiastic about Gutta's article, I will address your queries soon. NumerounovedantTalk 06:19, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
@Numerounovedant: There's no hurry at all. I was just giving you some suggestions. My only regret is that, in spite of trying, I couldn't convince you regarding the unacceptability of a certain type of user-generated sources on this Wikipedia. Anyway, before you decide to work on the above article, it would be beneficial to have a look at WP:PEACOCK, WP:ORIGINAL, & WP:SYNTHESIS. Thanks. - NitinMlk (talk) 17:04, 24 July 2016 (UTC)
I am fully aware of whatever it is that is wrong with the article. (Not to undermine any of your suggestion, all of whuch are totally justifiable and aimed at improving thearticle.) I just haven't had time to make corrections, I am grateful to you for helping. I will ping you once I am done editing it, and would appreciate your feedback. Cheers. Do not present the future as history

Hello. Please do not add "news from the future" to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. You cannot say something has happened when it has not happened yet. The ATP rankings are only updated on Monday (they are not updated daily), and you always have to wait for the official update on Monday before you report it as the current ranking. (You can of course say he is projected to become No. 1, which is good, useful information, but the article already says that. You just cannot say it has already happened, because it is not true.)—J. M. (talk) 15:02, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, yeah, i was aware that the ranking are out every Monday. ~_~ Anyway, a simple edit summary would have sufficed but thank for going through all the trouble, for whatever it's worth. NumerounovedantTalk 16:17, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Regarding other articles.

Hey Numerounovedant, I am Amrik Singh and i want you to please look and make these articles to Fa.So that these articles should not get left behind. Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Ranvir Shorey, Manish Paul, Kapil Sharma . I am a reader who wants every article to become perfect away from vandalism. I have not any interest in editing on any of these articles. I just want the experienced volunteers to also make these articles to Fa or Ga. Please make these articles to Fa or Ga. Now that you bring it to my notice I might try to work on Arjun Kapoor's article soon. NumerounovedantTalk 17:49, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
But please look at other articles as well and make it to Fa. One actor's Article not included above is Sushant Singh Rajput. Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Ranvir Shorey, Manish Paul and Kapil Sharma articles should reach to Fa by the period of one year. You can do all by yourself or assign it to your friend volunteers on wikipedia.
