Darth Ruin

Darth Ruin is a brand new character from Vader: The Ultimate Guide. He was the rogue Jedi who stole a Sith Holocron and founded the Brotherhood of Darkness 2,000 BBY, beginning the New Sith Wars. You might be interested in this, because I see you have made and contributed to several Star Wars articles. Over at Wikicities, there is Wookieepedia aka the Star Wars Wiki, and we are always looking for new contributors who might be able to help out. I gave up on Wikipedia's articles because of the constant maintenance to keep fanon out and the inability to give everything an article. OK, i registered, and i will help out whenever i can, the ability to be able to edit pages instantly simply makes me blown away, guess i could get a little childish sometimes, but i respect the Wiki and the good it does for mankind, so no more playing for me, how can i help? --EnsJesse

My suggestion is to patrol the Recent Changes page, checking the edits; you can find many interesting pages, wars, users &etc. that way, and learn quite a bit about Wikipedia, and be very useful w/r/t vandals and fixing vandalism. but YMMV. --Maru 16:08, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

Lambgoat Page

Stop marking this page for deletion. It has an Alexa ranking of 39,000, sometimes nearing 20,000 and less. It has over 8,000 users registered and brings in 8 million page views per day. The information located on the article is relevant and accurate to the website. Saying it's an insignificant website is foolish. --(Unsigned comment by Butt (talk · contribs))

None of those topics brought up in the deletion discussion are even valid. Things like "site has small following" or "forumcruft" are said, calling the page "vanity". Not to mention, all the arguements for the keeping of the site are totally ignored. This site is very well known in the metal/hardcore commmunity and has done a lot for it. Just because a messageboard decides to vandalize someone elses created work, that means it gets deleted? Great logic. (Unsigned comment by Butt (talk · contribs))

The website article had incorrect information the first time it was created, not only that, but it was vandalized immediatly after creation. Read wikipedia's guidelines for viable website articles and you will see that Lambgoat meets the criteria for an acceptible article. 8 million hits per day is not a 'site with a small following'. You're the one who keeps marking it for deletion when in fact, there is no reason for it to be marked. So you are the one i'm going to complain to. You can't even come up with a reason at this moment, other than "a bunch of people with incorrect information marked it to be deleted". oh ok, so basically the whole vfd policy just means admins can vote things off regardless of whether they meet wikipedia's criteria or not. none of the people who voted for deletion stated valid or accurate points, not only that but none of them stated how the article was against policy. ive read the policy on what meets criteria for a valid webpage article and lambgoat is within guidelines. however, im done with this arguement, wikipedia has failed me. Yes, I was also under the impression that Rx was already an admin until the nomination. Congratulations on being made an admin! I thought you might like to know of a javascript tool that may help in your editing by giving easy access to many admin features. It's described at Wikipedia:Tools#Navigation_popups. The quick version of the installation procedure for admins is paste the following into User:Nufy8/Archive 1/monobook.js:

Hi, it's me again. I've just discovered the joys of Sam's "godmode lite" Javascript. Anyway, I came across this user while on RC Patrol: Terra-rent. S/He seems to be doing nothing but adding links to their car rental company wherever possible. What should be done? Due to the increased vandalism, I plan to contribute in Spanish and Portuguese. I will still be here, but plan to put my work here on a minimal level. Team Fortress Classic Reply

Yeah, I checked reference the disarming, and it is indeed true, although I can't remember it from my time as a clanner (I used to own one of the more sucessful TFC clans; GTX, and I frequently played at the scout). The 'crowbar scout' is a rarely used name for a even rarer phenomena, it isn't done frequently enough to be regarded as fact! The lack of edit reasons was due to me being a bit new to Wikipedia, I'm still not 100% sure how it works, and only really registered to make that edit and a few entries.
