Hey. First, let me thank you again for supplying that source for Mr Rasmussen having died.

Second, I wanted to be very clear about this particular edit here: are you one person, or several individuals? It's very relevant to what happens next. DS (talk) 04:27, 6 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oh, and your statement about Mr Petty having been "slandered" is 36 years too late; the dead cannot be slandered. DS (talk) 04:30, 6 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

are you one person, or several individuals? I am representative of Norman Petty Estate and President of the company that licenses his works. The opinions expressed in the Wiki article are not true, legally proven, but not public information. Buddy Holly fans change the wording on this entry on a regular basis and I request again to revert to our corrected version. I can provide legal papers if requested.

We're all volunteers. As a response, your corrected version cannot be reinstated without a relliable source. Wikipedia only lists public info and is not a source for first-party information. Ed6767 (talk) 20:37, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hey. So, what you need to do is, a) make your statements on the talk page for the Norman Petty article, b) be open about the fact that you have a conflict of interest in this case, and c) base your statements solely on published sources. If you say "my sources are the legal documents in my possession", that's not enough: anyone can say that. If you say "I can scan and upload the legal documents", that's not enough: such images can be edited (I'm not saying you would do such a thing, but it's the general principle of accepting-as-genuine scans from someone who would benefit from those scans being accepted-as-genuine; I'm sure you can see how bad people would abuse this!).
