Before you create an article, make sure that you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one, please tell your instructor about creating one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know that the article is a subject of an educational assignment as well as aid your communication with them.

While editing:

• Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
• Be bold, but do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
• Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
• No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
• Provide reliable sources to the content you add. If you are adding biomedical information, please follow this guideline.
• Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
• If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.

Airbnb & Sustainability moved to draftspace

There are several issues with your draft that lead me to wonder if it should be a stand-alone article at all.

1. There are general issues with the layout of the article in terms of its sections and the like. Wikipedia articles don't have Introduction sections, and they don't cover general background like the "sustainability in the sharing economy" section. That kind of information probably belongs in the Sharing economy article, which you would normally link to from another article where it mostly serves as background.
2. A Wikipedia article is supposed to start with a lead section that summarizes all the major points of the article. It should generally open with something like Article title is... and go on to succinctly say what the topic is in the opening sentence. If you are unable do this, your article title might not be right for a Wikipedia article. Instead, you should consider expanding the AirBnB and sharing economy articles.

Thank you for the feedback. Is there anyway you may provide extra or specific recommendations. I am a student and am having trouble with revising the contribution to appeal to Wiki standards. I have fixed the intro, but other than that, I am not sure what else I can specifically do. NorthShoreLife (talk) 23:52, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

I arrived here after reading the Airbnb history. Your draft looks like it could be split and placed in two articles. The parts that are just about Airbnb can go in that article. The parts that refer to digital sharing economy companies in general could be added to the sharing economy article. For example, take a look at Sharing_economy#Environmental_benefits. You might be able to integrate some of your info from Draft:NorthShoreLife_Sandbox_Airbnb#Sustainability_in_the_Sharing_Economy into that section. Mike Gauya (talk) 00:04, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
