Proposed deletion of InfoCaptor edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article InfoCaptor, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Kuru talk 02:26, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

InfoCaptor edit

Hello. The article was proposed for deletion using {{prod}}. The concerns raised by the proposer were that it was an unreferenced article about a non-notable product, written by a contributor with a conflict of interest. No-one disagreed with that analysis in the week or so specified by the deletion policy, and I then deleted the article because I agreed that the article did not say why the product is notable. I will restore the article if you ask on my talk page (but I would probably immediately nominate it more formally for consensus at articles for deletion). If you think InfoCaptor is notable, I suggest that you would be much better to submit a new article having a reliable reference to back up each statement, and which states why the product meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Since you requested a copy of the text, I have pasted a copy below. Best wishes, RobertGtalk 06:03, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
