Ok, let's see... "Not too tacky", and "no background fills" means you want to fool people for being serious (:-)), and "professional looking" means you can't have kites flying around your username... There's not much left to the artist, so I suppose you listed the colors in order of preference, because here goes the red-blue fantasy scenario:

Ummm, the one you quote has an additional ">" after every "font". Did you copy/paste it or what? Did you check the 7 steps on top? I've removed those extra ">" in your quote above, and it appears to be repaired. How did they find their way in? NikoSilver 20:18, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Talk/contribs doesn't fit in the 200 char limit (WP:SIG). I find the limit too low, but that's my opinion only. We need to change that policy... You can add them yourself if you want to violate the policy, but this is supposed to be a legit shop! NikoSilver 20:52, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

I fixed the first one also since they haven't improved the HTML code in IE7 either. I've been using Firefox for some time, and it "understood" all short versions. I guess I was spoiled by it and that's why I missed some [unnecessary in Firefox] markup. They should all be functional now, yet a tad lengthier, but still within limits. Got very sporadic internet connection for a few minutes! (WP:SIG's a guidline not policy :) ). I haven't adapted any of the sigs yet, but I will make my selection tomorrow (although I am spoilt for choice as all your designs are exactly what I was looking for!) Might try wiki-linking postlethwaite to my talk page (by that I mean I choose which one I want and leave you to do the wiki-linking!!), will let you know my selection tomorrow! If I link your talk in the brb and rbr ones, the markup will become double (if you notice the code, the last part keeps the code of the first using "nesting"). If I break the nesting, I'll have to repeat a second sequence of blueish (in your picked sig) codes for the last part. [guideline/policy aside, c.350chars would be ridiculously long]. I could do it at relatively low markup expense in the br and rb ones. Another solution is to add a marker after your name like these:

• +27chars: talk (well that's yours already)
• +24a: ≈
• +24b: •
• etc

Finally, a nice suggestion would be to use a redirect account with a shorter name (such as my User:N!), which would reduce the code length by the size of your name (and it's long!) This would be especially useful for your talkpage, but I wouldn't recommend it for your userpage, because your name would then not be readable at all in the edit window. Fine, I'll just improvise. I thought that since you're into pharmacology and medicine, a sign similar to the Rod of Asclepius would be applicable for your case (it also looks like a twisted "T" for "talk"). Then I also noticed the nice blue headers you use in your userpage, so I devised a sig that incorporates those two concepts and which IMO enhances consistency in your self-identification:

199 chars, no Verdana: :Alison: ₮

...and if you don't like gradients, I'll try with plain color:

151 chars:  ALISON  ₮

...and if you don't like backgrounds, I'll give it a shot with foreground:

Sorry, that would exceed the 200 character limit set in the WP:SIG guideline. We're already at 191. I can't make it without sacrifices. Autograph pages wave been WP:MFD'd for being canvassed through signatures, so I wouldn't recommend it. For the talk page, the code would be 35 chars long:

Your signature right now has all this you requested, and I happen to like it a lot, but it exceeds WP:SIG's limit of 200 chars. Observing the code, I can only shorten it by one character (the code for bold) and I just replace your editor review link with your contribs, which brings it down to 233 chars:

New 233 chars: jonjonbt (talk•contribs)

Of course, you could shorten it significantly if you settled for standard blue in the links:

The wikilink supersedes the color codes, unless you place them within the brackets:

I see. Color is not a problem, but see the shop window for some specific combinations we could use. We don't have dragons and flames in the fonts available to everyone, but take your pick from there. I like Andale Mono the most and I'd like, hmm, the most dragon-like or flame-like colors would be like red and orange and yellow, how about a black background with the words: Barkjon|talk like my current one with Barkjon linking to my user page and talk linking to my talk page. Just keep in mind that the maximum length specified in WP:SIG is 200 characters. The requested font doesn't show so good in this background, and the talkpage is redundant if one uses WP:POPUPS (or if one just makes one more click); so I like the last one best. I can, but if I do, the code will become huge. Unfortunately, wikilinks do not preserve HTML codes when nested within them, and I'll have to repeat the code for every single letter! BTW, I just noticed that WP:SIG now says that signatures greater than 255 characters are automatically truncated. So I suggest you use the last one, but with non-reverse fountain fill. Like this:

Long signatures are annoying to some people, and you'll have complaints. On top, my opinion is you do not need to link to your talkpage. Otherwise you're helping other users skip your userpage and not see it at all when they message you. Think about it. NikoSilver 10:05, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello NikoSilver, I dont know if you still work on this, but I have tried to make a signature many times but I don't like them anymore after a few days. I already filled in this form:

  1. Preferable style: Looking cheerful, but not with too many bright colors
