Suggestions for Clore article draft edit

Hi - I've forgotten now how I noticed your draft article Draft:G. Marius Clore, since I'm not involved with the Articles for Creation process, but I just saw that it's been declined several times now. Clore is clearly notable by Wikipedia standards for professors and academics, but currently the article reads too much like a CV. I suggest trimming the awards section and reducing the works section to only top-cited papers, with inclusion of some review papers written by others in the field that confirm the importance of Clore's work (should be easy to find). Compare the length and scope of the articles for Ad Bax or Axel Brunger. Opabinia regalis (talk) 22:55, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Clore article accepted edit

G. Marius Clore, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Congratulations! As you can see I did make a few edits to the formatting and referencing.

Now that the article is live, I have a suggestion for improving it. Most of our articles on scientists could be improved by citing more third-party review articles rather than many examples of the subject's own papers. This is a bit different than you'd think from academic norms. But on Wikipedia what makes someone "notable" is the fact that reliable sources have noticed them. Review articles published in the scientific literature by other people in the NMR field would fit.

And feel free to fill in the missing articles for some of the other NAS biophysicists! Opabinia regalis (talk) 05:17, 12 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Photo of G. Marius Clore.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Photo of G. Marius Clore.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
