If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Just to let you know, "hoaxes" on Wikipedia include alternative history plotlines or information about fictional countries that you or someone else have invented. Please keep your article and draft writing based in factual history and reality. There are other platforms online that welcome the kind of content you were writing but it's not for Wikipedia. Well I was sure that in the last 15-some years I'd made something approximating 500 edits. Not sure why you're being aggressive over it. I don't even know how to see how many edits I've made.

I'm not being aggressive, it was a reasonable question. Including 3 recent edits here, your contribution history states that you've made 285 edits. What do you not understand about "you need to have 500 edits to be able to edit any pages in the area of conflict"? I thought that was pretty clear. Doug Weller talk 08:39, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

I understand the rule, but very clearly stated that I didn't know how to check how many edits I'd made, and also that I didn't know what ECP meant. You must be deliberately dishonest to speak in such a manner. NexusHUB (talk) 22:17, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

I'm a touch confused. I became aware because I was doing reading on the article and it's mentioned at the top of the page. I'm not sure what you mean by me being gone for almost two years; most of the time on Wikipedia I'm reading and often don't notice whether or not I'm logged in. Maybe I wasn't for an extended period of time. I made sure I was logged in, however, to participate in this particular discussion. I'm not sure if you're making an accusation here. To see how many edits you've made, you can look yourself up at this edit counter, which shows you have as of today made logged-in 296 edits. (Over half of them have been deleted, and deleted edits don't appear in your contributions list, so in your case it would be a little misleading to simply count those in that list.) There's no way of counting your not-logged-in edits; they don't "count" for ECP, or for you in any way. As for ECP, it stands for WP:ECP, meaning extended confirmed protection. Introduction to contentious topics
