Vellaippan Velayudam Thanga Thirupathy edit

Hello, I can see you've put a lot of work into Vellaippan Velayudam Thanga Thirupathy, but I can't tell if he is notable by Wikipedia's standards. There are many links to sites related to patents, but that is not sufficient to make him notable. The only link to a secondary source (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6EWg7JOayyTaHl6QUZxamRzX2s/edit?usp=sharing) seems to be a scan of a magazine article. Nadar Peedam does not have obvious signs of being a reliable source.

I don't know your relationship to the subject of the article, but I hope you won't be offended when I say that the inventions and patents do not seem to be practical or mainstream. The one patent linked which actually shows the content of the patent is bizarre.

If there is not other evidence of his notability, I may submit this article to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. I'm hoping you can find reliable sources, either in English or which can be translated, which make that unnecessary. Thank you, SchreiberBike talk 06:01, 9 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Mr.SchreiberBike, Thanks for your points and suggestions, for improving the Page. The Link referred by you as "Bizarre" related to United States Patents and Trademarks Office and Mr.Thanga Thirupathy's patent has been published, due to his notable contribution. There are other Links, shown under the "References" to substantiate his contribution in the field of inventions. Hope this justification will suffice. If you further require the copy of Invention Certificate issued by Patent authorities, please suggest where to Email the copies of the Certificates suitably
Thanks Newcentre for your quick reply. My concern is that many people have patented something, but are not notable. Other reliable sources need to show notability by Wikipedia's standards. As you can see from United States Patent and Trademark Office#Criticisms, patents can be issued for things which are bizarre. Having received a patent does not make one notable. May the patent Certificate page issued by USPTO to Mr. Thanga Thirupathy carrying the patent number be uploaded for authentication please
I'm not sure what you mean above. The patent seems to be real - the question is whether the Thanga Thirupathy is notable by Wikipedia's standards. Thanks, SchreiberBike talk 19:52, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
