Speedy deletion of Good domain names

A tag has been placed on Good domain names, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. i have read the guidlines about adding external links and i dont understand why my links have been removed? it asks me to add links to refernce where i got my information to prove that its not original research which is exactly what i have done. it the goes on to say i should add my link if i feel the link would benefit others who may want more information on the topics being discussed which i think it would.

Adding Links

Hi, I've copied this over from Editor Assistance. The two policies I've mentioned are:

• WP:EL#AVOID - External links to avoid
• WP:ADVERT - It doesn't really apply to you because I believe you added the links in good faith, but it is worth noting especially after you had added the link a few times to two articles (see also The 3 revert rule.

Ok, this is the text from Editor assistance/Requests:

When adding links consider this from External links to avoid: Links to sites that primarily exist to sell products or services, or to sites with objectionable amounts of advertising.. The particular site you added is a mishmash of forum/auction/blog/SEO guidance and I wouldn't hesitate for a minute removing it. One of the links you created for a deleted article linked directly to a blog there. The other problem is overly emphasizing a site, when a more neutral site would be better. Many of the issues raised on the site you linked to are covered by mainstream media and more importantly discuss issues in a neutral way. If you can find a source it is better to use it from a researched article than somebody else's opinion.

Wikipedia is not a how to do it site, SEO blogs do it much better. So forums/blogs/education articles based on personal experience is a big NO. SEO blogs are interesting and informative, but not reason enough to link to them. Even some of our Administrator's have contributed to SEO sites - a great example is this by Durova, SEO Tips and Tactics from a Wikipedia Insider. The golden rule here is that if a site looks like it is selling something, don't link to it; If it contains opinion or "my experience", then keep it very far away from Wikipedia. -- EhsanQ ^(talk) 10:56, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
