AfC notification: Draft:Sajid Mir has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Sajid Mir. Thanks! Robert McClenon (talk) 07:35, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
@Robert McClenon: yes, I understand that concern. The reviewer will have to move to a suitable name for mainspace. Though I tried to create a different title for the article, I have changed my mind and left it to the reviewers. I would be happy if you give a feedback on the draft. That will help me if anything more needed to get accepted. Regards - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 07:46, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hello, NeverTry4Me

Thank you for creating Pengeri.

User:MPGuy2824, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

searching for pengeri on https://censusindia.gov.in/census.website/data/population-finder only gives one village of 100 population, not 15 villages

@MPGuy2824 Thanks for your message. I see that you have searched only "Pengeri Garh". Actually rest Pengeri are also come under Pengeri. Check Pengeri grants also. Moreover, I have added old census, not 2011 one. As you know current census is running, I will update the current census, not the 2011. However, the old census can't be denied as still those 15 villages come under the Pengeri Police station. The page will be updated accordingly, and timely manner, as I do in the pages I created. I take the WP:BURDEN of refs and update of the all pages created by me. I don't leave the WP:BURDEN on others unlike some editor. Hope you will understand if you check my created pages. Regards - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 03:08, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
Actually, I searched for "Pengeri" and found only one village in the census site. Other points:
  1. What do you mean by "Pengeri grants"?
  2. If you have links for the 1981 census, or any of your other references, it would be great if you add them to the relevant refs.
  3. Villages that come under one police station's jurisdiction are not usually referred to as a settlement. The phrase "settlement ... that includes fifteen villages" seems weird/oxymoronic.
  4. Please add the population data from the 1981 (or latest) census, and the names of the villages involved.
  5. The 2021 census has yet started, as far as I know. Even after it completes, it would be a year or two for the data to be published. Till then, using data from the 2011 census of India is recommended. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:19, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
@MPGuy2824 Pengeri grants are tea estate of Pengeri. In Assam, Arunachal and Nagaland, tea estates are named as "grant" in govt data. As you know that, in India, misspellings of names are too common, you can also do a Google search for "Pengeree" for further information. The page was created yesterday within 1 minute following the above argument and accidentally or by chance the draft was accepted within a few minutes. But I have to work on this to expand more and I shall. Don't worry, I don't leave any of my edit's update burden to others. I use to update my edits regularly whenever I get a resource to add a new edit or update. For example the page Tapan Deka was created through AFC submission even before about his current position's possibility. But my common sense worked and now if you see many newspapers are copying/using the page's information in their recent news. I have a photographic memory,- just kidding. I use to read many newspapers daily for last 4 decades and buy books for adding information and refs here in Wiki. Don't worry, I shall update the page as per resources. Places in Kenya

Almost every place that you have nominated for deletion in Kenya is verifiably a place if you just search Google books. Please do the WP:BEFORE searches before nominating articles for deletion. WP:GEOLAND has a low bar, it just needs to be a populated or formerly populated place to be notable. I request you withdraw all these deletions, or perform the search to see if they exist. CT55555 (talk) 03:19, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

@CT55555 and what about Wiki's basic notability guideline? If such 1 line articles exist, Wiki will be bombarded by all villages of this earth as every villages are populated as per the government's census. - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 03:45, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
The general notability guideline is general. And for places we have a specific one. And indeed it does basically say that every village on earth is notable. I think that is a clear reading of WP:GEOLAND. If you disagree with that, I invite you to start a process to change WP:GEOLAND. Until then, indeed every village is indeed notable. CT55555 (talk) 04:16, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
@CT55555 if so, then if I create AFC draft, will you accept? :) Just kidding. - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 04:39, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Commitment to not AfD broken?

What happened to the commitment from March - As of now, for not less than 6 months, I won't nominate articles for deletion. I promise that.? Even otherwise, it was unwise to nominate 10 articles at once, when you do not understand NGEO clearly. See Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nilaji for more explanation from an admin about NGEO. Hemantha (talk) 11:32, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

@Hemantha My mentor retired from mentorship. I am bombarded in my homepage with such 1 line articles. What shall I do? What shall I edit? Please go back to 1 week, you will see I was only citing refs. If I create such 1 line draft article through AFC, will you accept that? Rules should be same for all. Does this make any sense: The page creator's edit is also a serious concern as he has created a total of 1,667 such articles (proof) with 47.4% Minor edits and 77.2% (smaller than 20 bytes) Small edits (proof). In my opinion, these edits attract edit count increase intention by doing such 1 line articles those are not notable, no ref. I'm really surprised to see the way of being a senior editor with such edits. Even, a few tasks made me fall from my promises, but I am doing within rules. Morever, it seems you would be happy if I remain blocked or my edits are getting deleted. - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 11:59, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
No, I have no intention other than asking you to stop doing things based on faulty or incomplete understanding. It's not that you are the only one who is bombarded in my homepage with such 1 line articles. Hundreds of other editors see it, but are they going around nominating them for deletion? Hemantha (talk) 12:11, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
What about your review of this Draft:Pengeri? Please see the backlog of page Madan Kalita, where it was first rejected due to 3 lines of content, leaving a note to expand the article. Now, these 1 line articles are spamming. Yes, they are spamming Wiki. Are denying the spamming? I don't hesitate or shamed for learning. I'm always a learner as life never stops teaching. If such 1 lines are notable, then this Draft:Pengeri is more notable. Just do a Google book search as "Pengeri, Tinsukia". - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 12:18, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
@Hemantha: Further, I honor your assistance with good faith that you said about "what not to do". Many, many thanks. Regards - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 12:35, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
Just because your mentor retired doesn't mean you should break your self imposed restrictions. I suggest being mindful of discussions around deletion conduct currently at ArbComm and making yourself more familiar with guidelines before you mass nominate articles that will clearly be kept. There is a solution in progress. *You* do not need to do anything. This isn't your to do. As @Hemantha said, hundreds see it. It's being handled Star Mississippi 13:20, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
@Star Mississippi already nomination withdrawn an all AfD. Check again. I shall ask for a discussion at ArbComm, and I must. Now what's your take on this Draft:Pengeri? Please do not ask me to expand. :) - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 13:23, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for withdrawing the nominations and taking the feedback. If the large quantity of uncited stubs about Kenyan place names is bothering you, a great solution would be to search for those places in google books and add ciations to the articles, to solve the problem. CT55555 (talk) 13:51, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for withdrawing. You do not need to ask for a discussion at ArbComm, but you're welcome to read and participate in the existing one. You're an eager editor, and that's great, but there are many many steps before AN/I and ArbComm. Re: your draft. Review waiting, please be patient. Badgering reviewers isn't going to help. You've submitted a sourced draft (thank you), and someone will be along to review it. Star Mississippi 14:10, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
@Star Mississippi: I have more or less eager, because of losing job due to my handicaps and neuro issue. I worked in world's two biggest IT companies, but had to resign as my handicaps didn't meet their dress code criteria. That compelled me to suffer a lot for more than a decade, long back. Here, in Wiki, if you notice, I never made a single edit on any commercial page. Most of pages I have created are nothing to do with any commercial purpose. I have some concerns too about the Wiki SIGCOV thing. Just like that, no media or book covers A-Z of anything. We just join the parts of claims with refs. I'm working some big drafts which will be about 80-150KB with 100+ refs. But some submitted drafts are pending (reviewers checked, edited and left). As you say, You're an eager editor, and that's great, but there are many many steps before AN/I and ArbComm. Re: your draft. Review waiting, please be patient., I have that patience. I have already said, I'm a learner as life never stops teaching. I'm learning here to uplift my writing skills and Wiki editings, so that in future I can be a real writer. Wish me luck. I wish you the best of luck. Wikipedia can be intimidating at first, but rewarding with time. There are so many articles that need sources, and if you are looking for a constructive area to focus, then article improvement would be a wonderful way to contribute.
It seems like you have suffered from discrimination in the workplace, which seems unfair. I am sorry to hear that.
I hope your experiences on wikipedia are rewarding and I thank you again for taking the feedback. I've made a few edits to the Pengeri article, I hope you find them helpful. CT55555 (talk) 16:20, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
@CT55555 I am inspired by your suggestions. My pleasure. Regards- - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 03:44, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
I think Perngeri clearly passes WP:GEOLAND. I do find that not all reviewers at AfC know all the notability criteria. I would recommend you add a comment to the draft saying "Proposed in the context of this being a human settlement, therefore clear pass at WP:GEOLAND" to make it easier for them. @Star Mississippi are those of us with autopatrol allowed to jump in and move it to mainspace? If I did that would it be considered helpful or stepping on toes, breaking process? I'd be happy to move it, if that was considered a helpful thing to do around here. CT55555 (talk) 14:16, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
@CT55555 This is indeed a one of the best ever guidances: I do find that not all reviewers at AfC know all the notability criteria. I would recommend you add a comment to the draft saying "Proposed in the context of this being a human settlement, therefore clear pass at WP:GEOLAND" to make it easier for them. Thank you for your assistance. Regards - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 15:10, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
I don't think you need to be an official AfC reviewer to move articles from draft space if you think they're ready. I personally opted to become one because the script (random article from my watchlist, no relevance to NT4M's edits) does all the cleanup, which is infinitely easier. I'd have a gander at WT:AFC as there's a good bunch of folks there who can answer. But yes I think you have clear judgement on what is viable, which is really the AfC barrier. But moot in this case as @Theroadislong handled it. Star Mississippi 15:12, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
