Manitoba

Thanks for your message on my talk page about Manitoba. While all federal government services are available in both official Canadian languages, three provinces are not officially bilingual: Manitoba, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Jonathan Moore

In this particular instance, if it's entirely copy-paste from his own website then we have to delete it as a copyright violation. This does not prevent a new article from being created about him again in the future if he can be shown to pass WP:GNG, but even if the necessary level of sourcing could be shown the entire article would still have to be rewritten from scratch as original content anyway — so it would fall under the principle of WP:TNT, also known as "blow it up and start over". Marchmont (novel)

Hi there, replying to the message you left on my talk page. I have not edited anything on the Charlotte Smith disambiguation page. I think you must be referring to the link I fixed on Marchmont (novel) article. First, the manual of style page you linked on my talk page is not actually a policy page, that's a talk page. If you want to read up on linking policy, it's WP:MOSLINK. My edit was based on what I've seen more experienced editor do over the last 8 years, but from reading the policy, I don't know for sure if it's correct with the apostrophe, so if you don't agree with my edit, you have the option to revert. Just don't put Charlotte Smith back in the article, that's a disambiguation page listing all the different Charlotte Smith articles. The one you are referring to is Charlotte Turner Smith, which could also be written as Charlotte Smith if you don't like using the full article name. New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! PPRC

Thanks for that. It was a pretty obvious revert — even if it is a real thing, which I doubt, it still can't have an article if it's so secret as to be virtually unsourceable — but fixing it wasn't just a simple revert. It also required moving the page back to its original title and deleting the resulting redirect, and you wouldn't have been able to undertake those steps as a regular user. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
