Request reason:

There was an active thread at ANI initiated by a proven sock, who was blocked indefinitely by ArbCom for sockpuppetry. Nobody there seemed to have suggested an indefinite block. The edits discussed were mostly around concerns relating to BLP.

Ever since I have started editing articles that relate to Islam, I have had baseless aspersions directed at me repeatedly. There have been attempts to penalize me for challenging the status quo. The same actors (with whom I have had content disputes) participated in the ANI thread. As a Muslim academician, it is quite disheartening how toxic and unwelcoming this place is to minority voices.

Regardless, I am open to remedy my actions on Wikipedia and work collaboratively. I have been using talk pages to discuss content disputes.

Furthermore, I do recognise that I have at times exhibited poor judgment that may have been construed as disruptive and belligerent. I shall be more careful with the choice of my words and actions going forward, and ensure I am here to build an encyclopedia with collaborative efforts. During my ban, I have thoroughly read the concerned Wikipedia policies relating to my block and agree to refrain from any behavior that can be perceived to be in violation of the policies. I humbly request admins, to reconsider the block and give me a second chance to contribute to Wikipedia in a much better way. I have learned my lesson and I can see that uncollaborative efforts won't get me too far. It's also worth noting that I haven't been blocked before. Thank you!

Honestly, I am tired of being falsely accused of sockpuppetry. No idea how the admins let Snuish get away with repeated false allegations. I just want my name cleared of sockpuppetry. I am no longer interested in contributing to any article on Wikipedia. It's a shame how I have been accused of sockpuppetry by users and admins without any proof. My use of sarcasm and edits on controversial article WikiIslam that has attracted sockpuppets in the past. My tone and language came across as aggressive. Also, I was not very good at responding to messages on my Talk page.

• What would you differently?

Refrain from making any snide remarks and comments and respect the 3R rule.

• How would your constructively contribute?

I will be readily accountable to the community, answering questions on my talk page and participating in discussions about my actions in other locations, as it is required. If an editor is concerned about my conduct, I would encourage them to message me on my talk page. After a discussion, if there is still a major disagreement about my conduct, I would encourage them to open a thread on WP:ANI, or wherever would be most appropriate for the concern (and if I think my action/conduct needs a wider community discussion, I would open it myself). I would refrain from acting in the affected area while the thread was ongoing. If the community endorsed an ArbCom case, I would actively participate in the case and answer any questions. Block circumvention

This user is circumventing his block with at least two IP addresses on the WikiIslam article that have focused on changing the same content in the same way as NebulaOblongata. Snuish (talk) 21:04, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

Holy shit! What? This is ridiculous. None of those IP addresses are me. What sort of investigation was done here? Has it ever occurred to you that multiple individuals across the world can have an issue with the use of "Islamophobic" as a descriptor for WikiIslam. When I raised this on the talk page, you accused me of being a sockpuppet of someone. Now someone else comes and raises the same issue, I am accused of being the sockmaster. Get a life.

@Newslinger, Bbb23, and GeneralNotability: I read through this investigation and I don't see any statement that shows I operate those IP addresses. Do you want to have another look? I have not used any IP address outside of this account. I would really like to understand what's happening here. How can I defend myself against this false accusation. This is absurd. Snuish keeps accusing me of being a sockpuppet, an employee of MNA every time a new user or IP address edits WikiIslam. I have had baseless aspersions directed at me repeatedly without any proof submitted. Will this ever end? Can Snuish keep throwing allegations like these and just hope one of them sticks. I have looked at the previous IP addresses he has accused me of using as sockpuppets. The ones earlier were based in the United States. These new ones I see are located in Bihar, India. None of these are even within 1000 km of my actual location. I am accused of battleground mentality but what's this? I can't escape false accusations even when indefinitely blocked. User:Snuish2 is hounding me.

This has been an extremely frustrating experience. I understand that users may have issues with my edits but false accusations is something I will keep fighting against.

Message to admins

I would have to be the dumbest person on this planet to use IP addresses for sockpuppetry on WikiIslam when I am appealing for an unblock. Just because a few users in the past and currently have raised an objection to the descriptor "Islamophobia" (like I have), it doesn't imply they are my socks. FFS, please review CheckUser again. Is there a neutral admin who can look into this? I have read Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/NebulaOblongata/Archive and nowhere does it say those IPs are my socks. I want to add that it's pretty unfortunate how I have faced the brunt of your knee-jerk indefinite blocking and false claims of sockpuppetry. I hope at some point an uninvolved admin reviews both my block and the false sockpuppetry accusations at me.
