My name is Nate Bloom. For over ten years, I have written on Jewish celebrities for many Jewish newspapers--including the American Israelite of Cincinnati; Cleveland Jewish News, Detroit Jewish News, New Jersey Jewish Standard, and JWeekly of San Francisco. My work has been cited by; and I have been interviewed about famous Jews by many publications, including the Washington Post, JTA, etc. Many of my articles are cited on Wikipedia. I take pride in being reliable. Early this morning, a bi-weekly column I wrote, that included an item on Michelle Chamuel, appeared on the website Interfaithfamily.com Other articles I wrote for this site are cited on Wikipedia and no one disputes their accuracy. The article said I spoke to a cousin of Michelle Chamuel--which I did--she read an item on Chamuel I wrote for JWeekly and contacted me. I was told and reporte that Chamuel's parents were Egyptian Jewish refugees--that the family was originally Karaite. Last night, the Egyptian Jewish origin of the family was confirmed by Michelle's mother. I also stated that Michelle and her mother attended an Amherst synagogue for at least several years. I found their names in a synagogue on-line bulletin--but I didn't think for an article that I need to cite my source on that. I told my friend, who is skilled at Wiki editing to post a link to the Interfaith column and enter into the entry the jist of my column item. Traffic poured in until aWiki editor decided that Interfaithfamily.com was an "unrealible source" and removed the citation to Interfaith. My friend, thinking he was doing me a favor, found other sources for all I said--parents' names etc. "You" left that in, but took out the citation, again, to my Interfaith article. If just about everything I reported this morning is verified by other sources--later added-how can you say I am unreliable. It is absolutely maddening to be at your "whim." I am beyond appalled at your cavalier and unsourced assumption that the site is unreliable and so is my journalism.
